PLAY SMART & GAME RESPONSIBLY: Students Explore Careers in the Growing GameTech Industry Through GameTech QC 🎮 🕹️ 👾

DOST-NCR proudly supported QC LEDIPO’s GameTech QC: Campus Takeover last September 29 at the Eugenio M. Lopez Jr. Center for Media Arts SHS (ELJCMASHS). The event introduced students to career opportunities in e-sports and game development through expert-led sessions and interactive local game showcases. Together with QC LEDIPO and ELJCMASHS, we remain united in driving innovation and guiding the next generation toward greater milestones.

Sumailalim ang mga QCertified food business entrepreneurs sa HACCP Manual Documentation Workshop noong Setyembre 23–25, 2026 sa Ardenhills Suites & Hotel.

Sa pamamagitan ng workshop, nagkaroon ng pagkakataon ang mga kalahok na mabuo ang kanilang Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Manual—isang mahalagang hakbang sa pagpapatibay ng food safety management ng kanilang mga negosyo. Natutuhan nilang tukuyin ang mga posibleng food safety hazards sa kanilang mga proseso at makabuo ng mga naaangkop na kontrol upang maiwasan ang mga ito.

Patuloy na sinusuportahan ng DOST-NCR ang pagpapalakas ng kakayahan ng MSMEs sa pagpapatupad ng mga pamantayan sa food safety upang matiyak ang kalidad, kaligtasan, at pagiging kompetitibo ng kanilang mga produkto sa merkado.

Check What’s on the Label!

Bilang bahagi ng patuloy na pagsuporta sa paglago ng mga lokal na negosyo, nagsagawa ang QC Small Business and Cooperatives Development and Promotions Office (QC-SBCDPO), katuwang ang DOST-NCR at DOST-Industrial Technology Development Institute (DOST-ITDI), ng ikalawang batch ng Packaging and Labeling Clinic para sa mga QC-based processed food businesses noong Setyembre 22, 2026.

Sa nasabing aktibidad, natutunan ng mga kalahok ang kahalagahan ng pagsunod sa Philippine Labeling Requirements, epektibong packaging design, at wastong paggamit ng packaging materials. Nabigyan din sila ng pagkakataong masuri ang kanilang kasalukuyang product labels at makatanggap ng mga rekomendasyon para sa pagpapabuti nito.

Sa pamamagitan ng mga ganitong programa, patuloy na sinusuportahan ng DOST-NCR ang paglikha ng mas ligtas, mas market-ready, at mas kompetitibong mga produktong lokal.

DOST-NCR, together with the City Government of Makati and the University of Makati through UMak Institute for Disaster and Emergency Management - Student Council, brings science, technology, and innovation closer to Makati communities through the 2026 HANDA Pilipinas Caravan today, 30 September 2026.

Participants are learning from experts from various DOST agencies about how to prepare for earthquakes, tools that can help communities stay safe during hazards, how to prepare for extreme heat and El Niño, and how to stay safe from radiation—practical, science-based knowledge they can bring back to their homes, workplaces, and communities.

The learning continues tomorrow with sessions on different weather hazards, receiving and responding to early warnings, what to expect from the climate, keeping food safe and eating well during emergencies, technologies that help communities prepare for hazards and changing climate, and safe evacuation and shelter practices.

Join the discussions and visit the technology exhibits at UMAK until tomorrow, 1 October 2026!

Food business owners enhanced their food safety practices through the Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) Plan & Manual Workshop on 25-26 August 2026. Participants gained practical knowledge on developing sanitation procedures, establishing proper cleaning and sanitation protocols, and documenting practices essential for maintaining safe and hygienic food production operations.

This workshop is part of the QCertified Roadmap Program, a collaborative initiative of DOST-NCR and QC Small Business and Cooperatives Development Promotions Office, aimed at helping MSMEs strengthen their quality systems and prepare for industry certifications.

Participants from the food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical sectors enhanced their operational excellence through the Process Mapping and Production Layout Workshop on 14 September 2026. The workshop was designed to help enterprises improve productivity, streamline workflows, and maximize the efficient use of resources.

Through hands-on discussions and practical exercises, participants learned how to analyze and document their existing processes, identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and develop improved production layouts that support quality, safety, and operational efficiency.

This workshop forms part of the QCertified Roadmap Program, a collaborative initiative of DOST-NCR and the QC Small Business and Cooperatives Development Promotions Office aimed at helping MSMEs strengthen their capabilities, adopt industry best practices, and prepare for quality certifications and business growth.

By equipping enterprises with the right tools and knowledge, DOST-NCR remains committed to fostering innovation, productivity, and competitiveness among local industries.
