PNP STATEMENT ON RECENT STABBING INCIDENTS INSIDE SCHOOLS IN CAVITE AND SCHOOL SECURITY MEASURES

The Philippine National Police expresses concern over two separate stabbing incidents reported inside school premises in Cavite on 16 and 19 June 2026. These incidents, which involved learners from different schools, are being treated as isolated cases, pending the results of the ongoing investigation, with due regard for the rights and privacy of all minors involved.

In response, all police units are directed to immediately intensify police visibility and conduct sustained preventive patrols in and around school zones, especially during school opening, recess, and dismissal hours. Police Regional Office CALABARZON and the Cavite Police Provincial Office are likewise instructed to ensure strict implementation of these measures within their areas of responsibility.

Concerned units are directed to conduct a thorough investigation of the incident and to closely coordinate with school authorities and local government units in implementing appropriate preventive measures, including security assessments, perimeter checks, and strengthened access control in school premises.

All existing PNP actions and interventions to prevent similar incidents shall continue to be reinforced in coordination with stakeholders to further strengthen school safety and security.

The PNP reiterates that violence in educational institutions is unacceptable. We remain committed to working with all concerned sectors to ensure safe, secure, and conducive learning environments for all learners.

PNP SERVES WARRANTS VS ACTIVE PERSONNEL IN QUEZON CITY AND DAVAO DEL NORTE, REAFFIRMS STRICT INTERNAL ACCOUNTABILITY

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has enforced separate warrants of arrest against two active police personnel in coordinated operations conducted in Quezon City and Davao del Norte on June 20, 2026, as part of its sustained efforts to uphold discipline and accountability within the organization.

In Quezon City, operatives of the Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG) National Capital Region Cluster 2, in coordination with other PNP intelligence and investigative units, implemented a warrant of arrest at a hotel along Don A. Roces Avenue, Barangay Paligsahan at around mid-afternoon. The operation stemmed from a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court in Taguig City, which carries no bail recommended.

The arrested individual is a Police Staff Sergeant assigned with the Police Security and Protection Group. He was brought to the IMEG Investigation and Detective Division for documentation and processing prior to turnover to custodial authorities and proper disposition before the issuing court. Authorities noted that the subject had been included in prior monitoring activities based on validated information that underwent proper verification consistent with internal accountability mechanisms.

In a separate operation in Sto. Tomas, Davao del Norte, combined elements of IMEG Team 11, CIDG, RIU units, and local police units served warrants of arrest against a Patrolman assigned in PRO 11. The warrants were issued by the Family Court in the Eleventh Judicial Region in connection with alleged violations of Republic Act 9262, with bail recommended by the court.

The arrested personnel was properly informed of the nature of the charges and apprised of his constitutional rights in a language he understood. He is currently under the custody of Sto. Tomas Municipal Police Station for documentation and turnover to proper judicial authorities.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., emphasized that the organization remains firm in enforcing discipline across all ranks without exception.

“Sa PNP, pantay-pantay ang batas para sa lahat. We hold our personnel accountable regardless of rank or assignment. PNP CRACKS DOWN ON ILLEGAL ONLINE GAMING; 13 NABBED IN MUNTINLUPA OPERATION

The Philippine National Police (PNP), through the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), successfully carried out a court-ordered operation on June 15, 2026, in Ayala Alabang Village, Muntinlupa City, resulting in the arrest of a provincial most wanted person and twelve (12) other individuals allegedly involved in illegal online gaming activities.

The operation was implemented by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by a Quezon City court for violations of Republic Act No. 8484, in relation to Republic Act No. 10175. During the service of the warrant, operatives observed ongoing online gaming activity inside the premises, which prompted immediate police action in accordance with standard procedures and coordination protocols.

Authorities recovered and secured various ICT equipment such as desktop computers, laptops, mobile phones, storage devices, and other digital peripherals believed to have been used in the activity. These items were properly inventoried and documented in the presence of required witnesses, including barangay officials and security personnel, to ensure transparency and adherence to due process.

Initial verification with the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) indicated that the online platforms being accessed and utilized in the operation were not authorized, in line with existing regulations following the national prohibition on Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. FORMER REBELS AND CTG SUPPORTERS RETURN TO PEACEFUL LIFE, FI****MS SURRENDERED IN PNP-LED EFFORTS

The Philippine National Police, under the leadership of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., has reported a steady rise in former communist-linked supporters in Central Luzon voluntarily abandoning their affiliations and choosing to return to peaceful civilian life during a series of coordinated operations and community engagements held from June 16 to 18, 2026.

Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), together with partner security forces, local government units, and community stakeholders, facilitated the surrender and withdrawal of support of several individuals previously linked to organizations associated with the communist insurgency.

Among those who returned to the fold of the law were former CTG members identified by their aliases “Ka Jun” of Bataan and “Ping” of Aurora, who voluntarily surrendered and turned over fi****ms and other war materiel. In Tarlac, former AMBALA affiliate “Paco” also renounced his support and surrendered a homemade firearm.

Additional individuals who severed ties with the movement included “Boyong” of Pampanga, four former members of DAMAKKA in Nueva Ecija, ten members of the Liga ng Manggagawang Bukid (LMB) in Guimba, Nueva Ecija, and former affiliates of ANAKPAWIS in Olongapo City.

Authorities attributed the development to sustained community engagement, dialogue initiatives, and intelligence-driven police interventions under the government’s whole-of-nation approach in support of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), which continues to open pathways for reintegration and peaceful transformation.

As part of reintegration procedures, the former rebels and supporters underwent proper documentation and were provided initial assistance, including food packs and other government support services to help them transition back into their communities.

The PNP emphasized that continued cooperation between communities and law enforcement remains vital in sustaining peace and preventing further recruitment into insurgent-linked organizations.

PNP RECOVERS CACHE OF FI****MS, EXPLOSIVES IN CAGAYAN

The Philippine National Police (PNP) announced the recovery of assorted fi****ms, ammunition, explosive materials, and related items during a coordinated security operation in Baggao, Cagayan on June 14, 2026, in a significant effort to prevent potential security threats and ensure public safety in Northern Luzon.

The operation was conducted in a remote area of Barangay Carupian following validated information that led law enforcement units to a former encampment site previously associated with an armed group. PNP INTENSIFIES NATIONWIDE ANTI-SMUGGLING DRIVE; OVER ₱13M WORTH OF ILLICIT CI******ES SEIZED

The Philippine National Police (PNP) sustained its intensified nationwide campaign against smuggling following a series of coordinated operations that led to the seizure of assorted alleged illicit ci******es in multiple regions, with total estimated value surpassing ₱13 million.

In Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, operatives from Zamboanga del Sur MARPSTA, RMU 9, and 902nd RMFB 9, together with local police units, intercepted two wooden motorized pump boats carrying 22 master cases of assorted alleged illicit ci******es worth approximately ₱1,254,000.00 during a seaborne operation along Brgy. Muricay in the early hours of June 14, 2026.

In Manay, Davao Oriental, personnel of CIDG Davao Oriental PFU, Manay MPS, and provincial units conducted an anti-smuggling operation in Brgy. San Ignacio on June 13, 2026, resulting in the interception of 80 master cases and 50 reams of suspected smuggled ci******es valued at around ₱8,000,100.00, with three individuals taken into custody.

Meanwhile, in Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay, joint elements of Malangas MPS, PIU, RIU 9, and 903rd RMFB 9 intercepted 20 master cases of assorted alleged smuggled ci******es worth about ₱1,146,000 at Brgy. Looc Tuburan on June 14, 2026, leading to the arrest of one individual.

In Pigcawayan, Cotabato, operatives of Pigcawayan MPS successfully intercepted 43 master cases and 950 reams of suspected smuggled ci******es valued at approximately ₱2,652,608 during an operation in Brgy. North Manuangan on June 14, 2026, with two individuals apprehended.

All confiscated items and arrested suspects were brought to respective police units for proper documentation and legal disposition.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., commended the operating units for their sustained vigilance, emphasizing that the campaign against smuggling remains a key part of the organization’s broader mandate.

“Hindi tayo titigil sa ganitong operasyon dahil direkta itong nakaaapekto sa ekonomiya at sa kabuhayan ng ating mga kababayan. We are serious in our commitment—this is about protecting government revenues and ensuring fair play in trade,” PGen Nartatez said.

PNP STATEMENT ON SERVICE OF WARRANTS OF ARREST ISSUED BY THE SANDIGANBAYAN

The Philippine National Police (PNP), through the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), confirms the implementation and service of another warrant of arrest issued by the Sandiganbayan Fifth Division dated June 1, 2026, for alleged violation of Section 3(e) of Republic Act No. 3019 or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act, with recommended bail set at PhP 90,000.00.

The said warrant was served on June 3, 2026, to Senator Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada and three co-accused who are presently detained at the New Quezon City Jail in Payatas Road, Brgy. Silangan, Quezon City. Proper coordination was made with the concerned custodial authorities to ensure orderly and lawful service of the court process.

On June 4, 2026, the same warrant was likewise served to former Secretary Manuel Bonoan, who is currently under police custody and seeking medical attention at a private hospital, in accordance with applicable legal procedures governing the service of warrants on persons under medical confinement.
