IBP Manila III Chapter

On 27 August 2026, the Integrated Bar of the Philippines – Manila II, Manila III, and Manila IV Chapters joined the IBP Nationwide Synchronized Jail Decongestion Activity, in solidarity with IBP Chapters across the country and in partnership with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) and the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor).

Held at the Manila City Jail – Female Dormitory, the activity brought volunteer lawyers directly to persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) to provide legal consultation and assistance, review their cases, and help identify appropriate legal remedies that may facilitate the just and timely disposition of their cases.

Among those who participated in and supported the activity were IBP Greater Manila Region Governor Atty. Ma. Elena Go Francisco, IBP Manila III Chapter President Atty. Maribeth E. Cacho-Pilimpinas, and IBP Manila II Chapter President Atty. Orlalyn F. Suarez-Fetesio, together with officers and volunteer lawyers from the participating Manila Chapters.

More than a nationwide undertaking, the synchronized jail decongestion activity reflects the IBP’s continuing commitment to ensuring that access to justice reaches even those behind bars. Every legal consultation, case review, and act of volunteer service brings us closer to a justice system where no person is forgotten and where the rights and dignity of every individual remain protected.

The IBP Manila Chapters remain steadfast in advancing meaningful legal aid and working hand in hand with government institutions toward the humane and effective administration of justice.

⚖️ EMPOWERING WORKERS THROUGH LEGAL KNOWLEDGE

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines – Manila III Chapter, in cooperation with SM City Manila, successfully conducted Project Karunungan: Workplace Legal Awareness and Protection Seminar on Basic Labor Rights today, 15 August 2026, at the Cluster Cinema, SM City Manila.

The activity aimed to bring the law closer to the community by providing participants with practical knowledge on their fundamental labor rights, workplace protection, and available legal remedies. The program was complemented by FREE legal consultation, giving participants an opportunity to seek guidance on their individual legal concerns.

Our sincere appreciation to SM City Manila, our speakers, volunteers, partners, and everyone who participated and helped make this meaningful undertaking possible.

Together, we continue to build a community where everyone knows their rights and has access to justice.

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Manila III Chapter conducted a Barangay Legal Outreach for the residents of Barangay 600, Sta. Mesa, Manila on July 25, 2026.

The activity featured a lecture on children’s rights, free legal consultations through our Legal Aid Desk, and the distribution of school supplies to children in the community.

We thank the officials of Barangay 600, our volunteers, and everyone who made this meaningful initiative possible. IBP Manila III remains committed to promoting legal awareness, extending legal assistance, and serving our communities—one outreach at a time.
