: Upon recommendation of the Manila City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (MCDRRMD), I am ordering the suspension of classes in all levels in public and private schools on Monday, August 10, 2026, due to inclement weather brought about by the southwest monsoon (habagat) enhanced by Tropical Cyclone Dolphin.

According to the MCDRRMD, the latest weather models and rainfall outlook from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) indicate rainfall tomorrow with intensity ranging from moderate to heavy, at times intense, particularly early in the morning and in the afternoon.

Schools are advised to shift to ADM or Alternative Delivery Mode.

BREAKING NEWS | WALANG KLASE SA MAYNILA SA HULYO 27

Inanunsiyo ni Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko" Moreno Domagoso ang suspensiyon ng klase — face-to-face at online — sa lahat ng antas sa pampubliko at pribadong paaralan sa Lungsod ng Maynila sa Lunes, Hulyo 27, 2026, bilang pagtalima sa pagdaraos ng ika-limang State of the Nation Address (SONA) ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

Saklaw ng suspensiyon ang kinder hanggang senior high school, gayundin ang mga kolehiyo at unibersidad, sa parehong pampubliko at pribadong paaralan.

Ayon sa alkalde, layunin ng suspensiyon na mabigyan ng pagkakataon ang mga Manileño, lalo na ang mga mag-aaral at mga g**o, na masubaybayan ang SONA ng Pangulo.
