: Upon recommendation of the Manila City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (MCDRRMD), I am ordering the suspension of all classes in all levels in public and private schools on Friday, August 28, 2026, due to inclement weather brought about by the southwest monsoon (habagat) enhanced by a typhoon outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

According to the MCDRRMD, light to moderate rainfall, at times heavy, is expected from morning through noon, with chances of heavy to very heavy rainfall increasing in the afternoon through Saturday.

Schools are advised to shift to ADM or Alternative Delivery Mode.

Kasalukuyang nakararanas ng mahina hanggang sa katamtaman na may paminsang malalakas na pag-ulan ang Lungsod ng Maynila na maaaring magtagal sa loob ng tatlong oras (3 hours). Kung di maiiwasang lumabas ay wag kalimutan magdala ng payong panangga laban sa ulan!

ANO ANG DAPAT GAWIN?
1. Mag-ingat sa pagmamaneho dahil madulas ang kalsada upang maiwasan ang mga aksidente.
2. Magdala ng payong at kapote kapag lalabas.
3. Kung maaari, huwag lumapit sa mga binahang lugar para hindi makakuha ng sakit mula sa baha.

Schools are advised to shift to ADM or Alternative Delivery Mode.

: Upon recommendation of the Manila City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (MCDRRMD), I am ordering the suspension of classes in all levels in public and private schools on Friday, August 7, 2026, due to inclement weather brought about by the southwest monsoon (habagat) enhanced by Tropical Depression Maymay.

According to the MCDRRMD, the latest weather models and rainfall outlook from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) indicate continued rainfall tomorrow, with intensity ranging from light to moderate, at times heavy.

Schools are advised to shift to ADM or Alternative Delivery Mode.

In observance of the 5th State of the Nation Address (SONA) of His Excellency President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., I am ordering the suspension of all classes—both face-to-face and online—in all levels in public and private schools in the City of Manila on Monday, July 27, 2026.

The suspension of face-to-face and online classes applies to all public and private schools across all grade levels, from Kinder to Senior High School, as well as colleges and universities.

This is to encourage all Manileños, especially our students and educators, to watch and follow the President's address to the nation.
