The Philippine Youth Games – Batang Pinoy was conceptualized as the baseline sports program of PSC, in support to the National Sports Development agenda of the National Government's desire to provide an inclusive sporting event for young athletes. Through Presidential Executive Order No. 44 signed by then-President Joseph Ejercito Estrada on December 2, 1998, the Batang Pinoy became the supplement

ing and complementing program of the various stakeholders of Philippine sports. The inclusivity nature of Batang Pinoy allows out-of-school youth, sectoral and marginalize sectors to participate in multiple sporting events. It was envisioned to address the need for a grassroots sports program centered on values formation inherent in the practice of sports and play. Since its creation, the Batang Pinoy had staged 13 National Championships plus more than 40 regional qualifying legs from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

𝗣𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗴 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞-𝗧𝗢-𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘆 🏆🫰

What a finish! In a tight race for Batang Pinoy 2025 glory, Pasig City reigns supreme once again—the back-to-back overall champion after narrowly edging out archrival Baguio City in the final medal tally.

Pasig City Sports finished with a 95-72-87 gold-silver-bronze haul, while Baguio closely followed with 91-72-74. Meanwhile, City of Davao and Quezon City have swapped positions from 2024, now ranking third and fourth, respectively.

The City of Manila mounted a monumental comeback to claim fifth place—an impressive rise from their lone gold medal performance last year.

Congratulations to all athletes! Keep training hard, and see you all in Bacolod City next year 😊

Pormal nang nagwaksi ang flagship 🌱 grassroots sports program ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) kagabi, Oktubre 30, sa Acharon Sports Complex. 🏟️

✨Isang makulay na pagtatapos ang sumalubong sa libo-libong atleta na nasa General Santos City makaraan ang limang araw 5️⃣ ng puspusang tagisan ng kahusayan at determinasyong matanghal na kampyeon 🏆 sa entablado ng Batang Pinoy (BP) 2025 National Championships.

Batid naman ni General Santos City 🐟 Mayor Lorelie Pacquiao ang taos-pusong 🫶🏼 pasasalamat sa pagpili sa kanilang lungsod bilang host ng Batang Pinoy 2025, "Sana ay dala dala ninyo ang mga magagandang alaala na nakuha miyo rito mula sa aming lungsod." 🏢

Higit sa isang palaro, naipamalas ng mga kabataang atleta 👦🏻👧🏻 mula sa iba't ibang LGU ang tunay na kahulugan ng 🏅 sportsmanship. Ang kanilang mga laban ang nagpatotoo sa tunay diwa ng isports - pagmamahal sa bayan 💗 at pagsusumikap para sa pangarap. ✊🏻🙌🏼

"Ang batang Pinoy na lumalahok dito ay naglalaro para kay mama, para kay papa, para sa probinsya, at para sa bayang Pilipinas 🇵🇭," wika ni PSC Chairman Patrick Gregorio.

The Technical Working Group of Batang Pinoy 2025 apologizes for the error in the medal count for Baguio City in the medal tally released on October 29, 8:30AM. Following a thorough review, it was determined that the issue resulted from a technical and system error. After verification and system updates by 12:00 PM, the official gold medal count was corrected.

The Technical Working Group fully assures all participants and the general public of greater vigilance in ensuring the accuracy of reporting of the medal tallies as the games progress.
