Ang Bagyo ay isang malawakang weather system na maaaring magdala ng malalakas na hangin at matinding pag-ulan. Sa Pilipinas, na kabilang sa mga bansang madalas daanan ng tropical cyclones, hindi lamang ari-arian ang maaaring maapektuhan kundi pati ang kabuhayan, kaligtasan, pagkain, tubig, at kalikasan.

Sa harap ng lumalalang climate change, mahalagang palakasin ang ating paghahanda at katatagan sa bawat sakuna. 🌏
Ang climate action ay hindi lamang tungkol sa pagbawas ng greenhouse gas emissions kasama rin dito ang disaster preparedness, climate adaptation, pangangalaga sa kalikasan, at proteksyon sa mga komunidad

Turning Waste into Climate Action

Last August 29, 2026, stakeholders came together for the Used Cooking Oil and Grease Waste Recovery Program at Beverly Place Golf Club, Mexico, Pampanga—an initiative that shows how responsible waste management can become a meaningful part of Climate Action.

Improper disposal of used cooking oil and grease can contribute to clogged drainage systems, water pollution, and environmental degradation. Through proper collection, recovery, and responsible management, these wastes can instead be diverted from the environment and transformed into useful resources.

Let us continue building a circular and climate-resilient Philippines where waste is not simply discarded, but recovered, repurposed, and turned into an opportunity for a healthier planet.

Climate Action starts with responsible choices. Climate Action starts with us. 🌱💚

Ngayong National Heroes Day, imbes na tahimik na paggunita sa mga bayani ng nakaraan, ang laman ng mga balita ay mga nakakapighating pangyayari sa iba’t ibang panig ng Pilipinas dahil sa panahon. At tandaan natin, hindi pa ito super typhoon.

Sa gitna ng kalamidad sa iba't ibang lugar, nakikilala natin ang mga totoong bayani ng ating panahon—ang mga rescuer, responder, manggagawa, at lahat ng indibidwal na piniling unahin ang kapwa bago ang sarili sa oras ng krisis.

Ngunit habang sila’y nagsasakripisyo, may mga proyektong pang‑kontrol sa baha na nananatiling nakatengga o ginagawang negosyo. Mga proyektong mukhang para sa kapakanan ng mamamayan, ngunit sa dulo ay mas lalong nagpapalala ng sitwasyon. ANG KALIGTASAN NG TAO AY HINDI DAPAT GAWING PALABAS O PAGKAKAKITAAN.

Ngayong National Heroes Day, sama‑sama tayong manawagan ng . Sama‑sama tayong tumindig laban sa katiwalian at kapabayaan. Ang kabayanihan ngayon ay ang pagkilos—ang pagtutol sa mga proyektong mapanlinlang, ang paghingi ng pananagutan, at ang pagbuo ng kinabukasang makatao at makakalikasan. ⚖️ 𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐘 𝐈𝐒 𝐒𝐀𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐏𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐂 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐘. 𝐀𝐂𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐈𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐍-𝐍𝐄𝐆𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐄.

We strongly support President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s campaign to expose irregularities in flood-control projects and hold accountable every responsible public official, contractor, financier, and private individual—regardless of position, political affiliation, or influence.

Ang mga alegasyong may kinalaman sa libo-libong flood-control projects ay hindi lamang usapin ng corruption—ito ay usapin ng climate justice at public safety. Every peso intended for flood control, climate adaptation, and disaster-risk reduction ay dapat ginagamit upang protektahan ang mga komunidad ng mga Pilipino, lalo na ang mga pinaka-vulnerable sa extreme weather events at climate impacts.

Bilang suporta sa accountability campaign ng Pangulo, nananawagan kami para sa:
🔎 Forensic engineering audits gamit ang satellite imagery, drones, geotagging, at full public disclosure;
💰 Immediate freezing, forfeiture, at recovery of assets na maiuugnay sa napatunayang corruption;
🚫 Perpetual disqualification ng mga opisyal na mapatunayang guilty at permanent blacklisting ng mga participating contractors;
🛡 Protection of whistleblowers at prosecution ng beneficial owners, financiers, approving officials, at political sponsors; at
🌱 Ang pagbabalik ng mga nakuhang assets sa isang ring-fenced Climate Justice and Community Resilience Fund na eksklusibong gagamitin para sa climate resilience at proteksyon ng mga komunidad.

Nanawagan din kami sa Congress na simulan ang isang national deliberation tungkol sa posibleng muling pagpapatupad ng death penalty para sa plunder at large-scale corruption na may kinalaman sa flood-control, climate adaptation, disaster response, at iba pang lifesaving public funds—subject to the Constitution, international obligations, strict due process, at proof beyond reasonable doubt.

🇵🇭 Hindi maaaring humingi ang Pilipinas ng climate justice mula sa international community habang hinahayaan namang nakawin sa sariling bansa ang climate funds.

Walang dapat mapaboran o mapalampas. Let the evidence lead wherever it may.

🌱 Climate money is sacred public money. There can be no climate resilience without integrity—and no climate justice without accountability.
