The City Planning and Development Office successfully hosted the regular flag-raising ceremony on Monday, 25 May 2026 at the Kartilya ng Katipunan, led by Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso and Vice Mayor Chi Atienza.

During his message, Yorme Isko expressed deep concern for the more than 2,000 families affected by the recent fire at Parola Compound in San Nicolas, noting that the coming days will be a challenging period for the City and its fellow Manileรฑos.

Despite the tragedy, the Mayor assured the affected residents that the City Government of Manila remains steadfast in providing assistance and support to help families recover and rebuild their lives. He shared his optimism and encouragement, saying, โ€œAfter the rain, thereโ€™s a rainbow. May awa ang Diyos, makararaos din tayo.โ€

Mayor Isko also commended and thanked the personnel of the Manila Department of Social Welfare for their unwavering commitment and immediate response in assisting displaced residents from the onset of the incident up to the present.
