Synopsis: Alex Torres, a lawyer and part-time detective sent to Paris after the death of Alejandro Sarmiento to locate the heir to a 3 million peso inheritance. What should have been a straightforward search slowly pulls him into a small, restless world of jazz bars, runaways, and even unexpected love. Unbeknownst to him, Lili Gamboa was sent to watch his every move, though the assignment doesn’t stay simple once feelings start to get involved.
The film is about how truth, affection, and self-interest collide, and how each character is quietly pushed toward a decision that could bring them together or pull them apart. Pitong Gabi sa Paris (1961), directed by National Artist for Film by Eddie Romero, carries a gentle, nostalgic tone as it moves between Manila and Paris that frames the journey for the truth as a gentle, bittersweet reflection on identity and longing.
