Ejercito draws the line on flood control funding: finish the old ones first.

The line comes straight out of the flood control corruption mess — projects that got funded, and contractors that got paid, without actual flood protection to show for it. As Finance Committee chair, Sen. JV Ejercito now wants DPWH's next budget tied to an actual master plan: the 10 most flood-prone provinces, 18 major river basins — not wherever the money used to conveniently land.

"Close the gaps, complete the uncompleted flood control projects. No new projects. Finish what needs to be finished."
