🇵🇭 BREAKING: 2026 BSKE POSTPONED TO 2028

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has signed Republic Act No. 12326, postponing the 2026 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) to November 2028 and setting the term of barangay and SK officials at five years.

Palace Press Officer Usec. Claire Castro confirmed the signing on Friday.

The President said the additional time should be used to improve public service, complete ongoing programs, and focus on the needs of communities and the youth.

🇺🇸🕌 THEY CAN TEAR A QUR’AN—BUT THEY CANNOT TEAR ISLAM FROM THE HEARTS OF BILLIONS.

Reports that Jake Lang tore pages of the Holy Qur’an at a church in New York are deeply offensive and painful to Muslims around the world.

But the Qur’an is not merely a book kept on a shelf. It is memorized, recited, practiced, and carried in the hearts of billions of Muslims. Even if every physical copy were destroyed, its words would continue to live in the hearts and lives of those who have memorized it.

Our response should not be hatred or revenge. We respond with patience, dignity, knowledge, and stronger faith.

May Allah ﷻ protect the Qur’an, strengthen the Ummah, guide those who seek the truth, and guide those who act out of hatred toward understanding and respect. 🤲❤️

Three students were killed and eight others injured in a school shooting in Banga, South Cotabato, in the southern Philippines, according to local officials.
