Continuing the Mental Skills Work with the Philippine Men’s Baseball Team 🇵🇭⚾️

Fresh from their Japan training camp as they continue their preparations for the 2026 Asian Games, the team continues to build on their experiences and move forward together.

In this session, the athletes reflected on their recent training experiences, identifying which adjustments worked, what helped them perform, and what they can continue to improve. They also worked on adjusting more quickly when situations change, practicing patience during challenging moments, and shortening their reset time after mistakes or unexpected situations.

The focus was not on avoiding mistakes, but on learning how to respond to them more effectively. Recognize what happened, make the adjustment, reset, and get ready for the next play. 🇵🇭⚾️

Had our final pre-game sports psychology session with the PH Women’s Baseball Team before they take the field for their World Cup debut! 🇵🇭⚾️

We focused on managing pressure and anxiety, staying present, and putting their energy into the things they can control. More than anything, it was about trusting the preparation they’ve put in, committing to each pitch and play, and trusting one another as a team.

They’ve worked incredibly hard, both on and off the field, and it has been such a privilege to witness their growth throughout this journey. The PSC Sports Psychology Unit is wishing our ladies the best of luck in their upcoming games! Go out there, trust your work, and enjoy the moment. 🇵🇭⚾️

Before they step onto the World Cup stage for their debut, the Philippine Women’s Baseball Team had their final pre-game mental skills session! 🇵🇭⚾️

Over the past months, the team has combined mental and physical preparation, developing key psychological tools such as imagery, focus, and strategies for managing both successful and challenging game situations.

More importantly, they have learned to trust the process. Progress has not come from a single session or a breakthrough moment, but from showing up consistently, doing the work, and allowing growth to unfold over time. There were moments of adjustment, relearning, and refinement, but all of it was part of building a stronger foundation.

Through this consistent preparation, the athletes have developed greater awareness of the mental side of sport, strengthened their routines, and improved their responses to different performance demands.

Now, as they transition into competition, they carry with them not just skills and strategies, but trust in their preparation and in each other. Everything they have worked on comes together as they step onto the World Cup stage. 🇵🇭⚾️

The final weeks before the 2026 Asian Games, and the grind doesn’t stop for our Philippine Soft Tennis Team 🇵🇭🧠!

Today’s mental skills training session focused on mental imagery and how the athletes can use it to support their performance. They learned how to create vivid, purposeful images, rehearse different game situations, and adjust the details of the image to prepare for different demands they may face in competition.

From visualizing successful ex*****on to mentally working through challenges and mistakes, imagery can help athletes become more familiar with different situations before they happen. The goal is to make every mental repetition intentional and use imagery alongside physical training to help them feel more prepared, confident, and ready when it matters.

Fresh from their one-week training camp, the Philippine Women’s Baseball Team continues preparations for their World Cup debut this August! 🇵🇭⚾

The team is back, and this session focused on one of the most powerful mental skills in sport: imagery. The athletes worked on using imagery to revisit situations they encountered in training, including mistakes and errors, and practice responding to them differently.

They learned the “rewind and replay” approach: go back to the moment, recognize what happened, then mentally rehearse a more effective response or ex*****on. The goal is not to erase the mistake, but to learn from it, build a more useful narrative, and prepare the mind and body for the next opportunity.

As they get closer to their World Cup debut, every training experience becomes an opportunity to learn, adjust, and grow. The body trains the skill, and the mind helps prepare for how to execute it when it matters. 🇵🇭⚾

T-45 days until the 2026 Asian Games! 🇵🇭

Back with our Philippine Soft Tennis Team following their Korea Cup and training camp. This session was an opportunity to reflect on their recent performances, identify what they have learned, and recognize the areas that still need deliberate work as they prepare for the biggest competition of the year.

In sport, growth comes from honest reflection and purposeful action. Over these next 45 days, the focus is on refining the small details, building confidence through consistent training, and committing to the process one day at a time.

One team. One goal. Aichi-Nagoya 2026. 🇵🇭

Preparing the Mind for Competition 🇵🇭🏐

As the team prepares for the 2026 FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U17 World Championship, this mental skills training session focused on developing the psychological skills needed to perform consistently under pressure. The athletes learned that mental preparation is just as important as physical preparation, especially when the demands of competition increase.

During this session, the athletes reflected on how they typically think, feel, and respond during competition, helping them better understand themselves on the court. They practiced breathing techniques to regulate their arousal and applied these skills during game-like activities that challenged their communication, concentration, and ability to adjust. Every restart became an opportunity to reset and prepare for the next point.

Mental Skills Training with our Alas Pilipinas Volleyball Girls U17 Team as they prepare for the 2026 FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U17 World Championship. 🇵🇭🏐

This mental skills training session emphasized that peak performance is built through both physical and psychological preparation. The athletes reflected on the importance of trusting the habits they have developed in training, staying committed to their process, and not allowing the pressure of competition to change how they play. The goal is to compete with the same intent, confidence, and discipline they practice every day.

2026 Asian Games Mental Skills Training with our Philippine Men’s Baseball Team 🇵🇭⚾

This session focused on developing imagery as a mental skill that complements physical training. The athletes practiced creating clear, controlled, and game-like mental simulations to rehearse situations they are likely to face, allowing them to prepare their responses before stepping onto the field.

By consistently incorporating imagery into their daily routines, they can strengthen confidence, improve decision making under pressure, and make every repetition in training more intentional.

Baseball demands more than physical ability. Peak performance comes from training both the body and the mind.

Road to the Women’s Baseball World Cup 2026. 🇵🇭⚾

In this mental skills training session, the team focused on managing the “dead time” between pitches, those few seconds where hesitation, doubt, or overthinking can take over before the next play.

The athletes practiced building confidence through action, one pitch at a time. They became more aware of their self-talk and learned how intentional cue words can direct their attention to the next task. Instead of letting their thoughts control them, they practiced using their thoughts to guide purposeful movement and ex*****on.

Lastly, we talked about mistakes. It’s okay to feel frustrated after a bad play. That emotion is normal. What matters most is what you tell yourself next because that response shapes how you show up for the next pitch. Progress comes from resetting quickly, trusting your preparation, and staying present for the next opportunity.
