CBAA reaffirmed its commitment to advancing gender equality and inclusive governance through its participation in the 2nd Southeast Asian Women’s Summit and the 8th National Women’s Summit held on March 2–3, 2026 at the Miriam College — Women and Gender Institute (WAGI) in Quezon City.
Representing the agency were Atty. Melissa B. Arabia-Dimaiwat, newly-appointed Hearing Officer for Luzon Field Office, and Ma. Cristina B. Daraway, CBAA GFPS Technical Working Group member.
The Summit was organized in observance of International Women’s Month and in line with the Philippines’ ASEAN Chairship, carrying the theme “ASEAN Leadership and Regional Cooperation: Where are the Women?” It convened leaders and stakeholders from government, civil society, academia, indigenous communities, youth groups, and international organizations to critically examine structural barriers to women’s leadership and identify actionable pathways toward gender-just governance across Southeast Asia.
