CALL TO ACTION FOR NULLIFICATION OF APPOINTMENTS OF FORMER STUDENT GOVERNMENT PRESIDENT JEMYR B. GARCIA
The former president of the Philippine Normal University Student Government, who graduated last April 6, 2018, invalids the effectiveness of his presidency in the succeeding day/s after his graduation and thereof considers him as an alumnus of PNU.
Therefore, the appointment for the selection of new candidates for Student Council officers and laid by the Commission on Election is considered as null and void because simply Mr. Jemyr Garcia is considered an alumni after he signed the Appointment of the Executive Board of the Commission on Election.
Nevertheless, the University Student Council election held last May 23, 2018 is also null and void.
Therefore, the resignation of the Student Government officers for the sake of running for re-election should be null and void as well and all bonafide officers who resigned should return to their current post until a new election has been made.
We urge all PNUans to decry the abuse of power of the disgraceful former Student Government president!
We urge all PNUans to be involved in what is happening in our Student Council, we cannot turn a blind eye to something that is not right! We are future teachers and we expect better from our leaders!
