Day 2 of 2

Activity: Soft Broom Making Seminar-Workshop Phase 2: Transitioning from Wire-Binding to Straw-Binding Methods

The second and final day of the Soft Broom Making Seminar-Workshop Phase 2 focused on completing the weaving process using the straw-binding techniques and colored broom materials prepared during the first day of the training. Participants applied the knowledge and skills they had acquired by producing finished soft brooms with improved craftsmanship, durability, and aesthetic appeal.

Upon completion of the weaving activity, participants presented their finished products, showcasing the techniques and value-adding methods learned throughout the two-day seminar-workshop. The product presentation highlighted the participants' creativity, improved weaving skills, and proper application of color enhancement, demonstrating their readiness to produce marketable and eco-friendly soft brooms.

The activity concluded with a closing program where messages of appreciation and encouragement were delivered by Ms. Evangeline T. Gomeyac of the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO), Mr. Hector Gacita from the Mayor's Office. They commended the participants for their commitment to learning new techniques and encouraged them to apply their newly acquired skills to improve their products, increase their income opportunities, and contribute to the growth of local enterprises in Mankayan.
