Applicants for the position of 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗩𝗜 (𝗨𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻) under the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office are currently undergoing a 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀-𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 as part of the Local Government Unit of Manolo Fortich’s 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀.

Extending beyond standard written assessments, today’s evaluation places applicants in 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀 where they are evaluated on critical lifesaving competencies, including 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗶𝗱, 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀, 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗷𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 (𝗕𝗟𝗦).

This practical assessment highlights the Municipality’s commitment to ensuring that individuals joining the frontlines of disaster response possess not only the knowledge, but also the 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

The orientation highlighted the organization’s 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐝𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 and 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬, and the 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬 that guide public service excellence. On May 3, 2026, the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) facilitated an HIV Symposium conducted by Avelino Calotes from the LGU Manolo Fortich Municipal Health Office. The activity aimed to increase awareness and understanding of HIV/AIDS, its transmission, prevention, and treatment.

The symposium discussed how HIV affects the immune system and emphasized that it can be prevented through safe practices, regular testing, proper health education, and avoiding discrimination against people living with HIV.

Other related diseases and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) discussed included syphilis, gonorrhea, hepatitis B and C, HPV, and tuberculosis (TB), which commonly affects people with weakened immune systems.

The activity successfully promoted awareness, responsible health practices, and the importance of prevention and early consultation in maintaining a healthy and informed community.

Together, let us continue to promote awareness, compassion, and a stigma-free environment for everyone.
