As part of the MSME C.A.R.E Program, the LEDIPO through Negosyo Center in collaboration with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) successfully conducted a BIR Reportorial Requirements Seminar and ORUS Orientation last May 25, 2026 at the Municipal Gymnasium Conference Room, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.

A total of 65 local business owners participated in the seminar which aimed to strengthen their understanding of BIR compliance, tax responsibilities, and the use of the Online Registration and Update System (ORUS).

The activity formally started with a welcome message from Ms. Lorraine Requinton, LEDIPO Designate and Negosyo Center Manager. The seminar proper was presented by Mr. Abdul Rahman A. Mitmug, Revenue Officer I, and Mr. John Will T. Tan, Revenue Officer III.

Participants gained valuable knowledge on reportorial requirements, taxpayer obligations, proper filing procedures, and the benefits of utilizing ORUS for easier and more convenient business registration and updates. The seminar also provided an avenue for business owners to clarify concerns and better understand government processes that support compliant and sustainable business operations.

Through activities like this, the LEDIPO and Negosyo Center continue to empower MSMEs by providing accessible learning opportunities that promote responsible entrepreneurship and business growth.

As part of the C.A.R.E Extension Program, the LEDIPO through Negosyo Center in collaboration with East-West Seed Knowledge Transfer Foundation Philippines successfully conducted a Financial Literacy Seminar last April 23, 2026 at the Municipal Gymnasium Conference Room, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.

A total of 15 farmers from Bukidnon participated in the activity aimed at strengthening their knowledge and skills in financial management. The seminar was presented by Ms. Lorraine, LEDIPO Designate and Negosyo Center Manager, and facilitated by Ms. Aila, Value-Chain Lead of East-West Seed Knowledge Transfer Philippines. In addition, Ms. Christelle presented the overview and services of the Negosyo Center to further guide and inform the participants about the programs and assistance available for MSMEs and local entrepreneurs.

The session focused on proper handling of loan proceeds, maintaining healthy cash flow, budgeting, savings, and meeting repayment responsibilities to ensure the sustainability of their agribusiness operations.

The activity served as an important step in preparing the farmer cluster for their upcoming loan applications while empowering them to become financially responsible and business-ready entrepreneurs.

Through initiatives like this, we continue to support and uplift our local farmers by providing them with valuable learning opportunities that contribute to long-term agricultural and economic growth.

✨ EMPOWERING BUSINESSES AND STUDENTS THROUGH DIGITAL INNOVATION!✨

The LEDIPO through Negosyo Center, in collaboration with One Journey Philippines, successfully conducted the FREE E-Commerce, Dropshipping Awareness & Digital Orientation Program last April 09, 2026 at the Municipal Gymnasium, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.

A total of 265 participants composed of Northern Bukidnon State College students, Barangay Kagawad Committee in Charge of Trade and Commerce, Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials, and Barangay PESO representatives and local business owners joined the seminar to gain valuable insights on e-commerce, dropshipping, and digital entrepreneurship opportunities in today’s online market.

The program formally opened with a Welcome Address delivered by Hon. Racquel Bayacag-Abales, Municipal Councilor of Manolo Fortich. The seminar proper was facilitated by Mr. Samuel C. Canoy, CEO/President of One Journey Philippines, who shared his expertise and knowledge on digital business and online opportunities.

The activity concluded with an inspiring Closing Remarks from Ms. Julie Anne A. Andaya, Executive Vice President of the Manolo Fortich Chamber of Commerce Industry Inc., encouraging participants to maximize digital platforms for business growth and innovation.

This initiative aims to empower aspiring entrepreneurs, students, community leaders, and MSMEs by enhancing their digital knowledge and entrepreneurial mindset.

IN PHOTOS | Empowering MSMEs through knowledge, innovation, and opportunity.

On March 18, 2026, a total of 20 MSME participants gathered at the Municipal Gymnasium Conference Room in Manolo Fortich for an insightful Entrepreneurial Mindsetting Seminar and BMBE Orientation, with Mr. Fritz Roque B. Gara, Negosyo Center Business Counselor, as the resource speaker.

The seminar emphasized the value of developing a strong entrepreneurial mindset—cultivating resilience, adaptability, and a growth mindset, while encouraging participants to take calculated risks, think creatively, and act proactively. Attendees were inspired to view challenges as opportunities for learning and to continuously create value through innovation and problem-solving.

In addition, the BMBE Orientation provided essential information on how small businesses with assets under ₱3 million can benefit from FREE registration, granting up to 2 years of tax exemption. Participants were guided on how to register online via DTI’s BMBE-ONLINE platform or through their local Negosyo Center.

This initiative continues to support and empower local entrepreneurs by equipping them with the right mindset and knowledge to thrive in today’s dynamic business environment.
