Badge of Power

“With great power comes great responsibility” July 28, 2015, Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) members received a badge designed by Jan Kirsten M. Macario, YES-O President (Grade9-Nitrogen).

The badge symbolizes that they are officers of the organization and assumed the responsibility to protect and conserve the environment, contribute to the rebuilding and renewal of the environmental values, skills, and attitude and other actions that concerns the environment.

The badges were first distributed to the YES-O officers while the next batch of badges will be given to the new members of the said organization.

CNSHS YES-O: Building a Better Foundation

The Youth for Environment in Schools (YES) Organizations started a short campaign last month at Cavite National Science High School. The aim of this campaign is to convince and at the same time recruit some interested students to join the organization.

In addition, those students who are willing to join the club were given membership forms to be filled in. Also, this was followed by an interview facilitated by Sir John Edsel Varias, head of YES-O. The interview schedule was 9:00-9:30am and 2:30-3:00pm from June 8 - 26, 2015.

On the interview, students were asked about their willingness to join and help the organization to accomplish its mission. Interviewees had different answers which are based on their own perspectives and thoughts. The results of the interview were posted in front of the BioLab last July 2015.
