Principal II Ms. Ruby I. Hugo commended the teaching personnel of Maragondon National High School (MNHS) for their voluntary service and unwavering commitment following the successful conduct of Suring Tanghalan, a two-day educational theater activity that benefitted around 800 Grade 7 to Grade 10 learners on August 1-2, 2026.

The activity was spearheaded by the Filipino Department under the supervision of Dr. Dolores R. Bendejo, Head Teacher III, as part of the school's continuing efforts to strengthen learners' appreciation of Philippine literature through experiential learning.
Participants watched theatrical productions staged by the Sining Pinagpala Theater Foundation, featuring Ibong Adarna for Grade 7, Florante at Laura for Grade 8, Noli Me Tangere for Grade 9 and El Filibusterismo for Grade 10, bringing the literary classics to life through live performances.
To ensure the safe and orderly implementation of the activity, the school deployed 51 vans to transport the learners and their teacher-chaperones. The administration also recognized the School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) for its commendable support and cooperation, which contributed significantly to the smooth and successful implementation of Suring Tanghalan.
