DAGYAW sa Maramag 2026: A Day of Dialogue, Participation, and Collective Action
“United Citizens, Active Participation, Towards Good Governance and Sustainable Development.”
Yesterday, September 22, 2026, the Municipality of Maramag in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Maramag came together for DAGYAW sa Maramag 2026, held at the New Amphitheater, bringing citizens, local government officials, civil society organizations, partner agencies, and community stakeholders into one meaningful space for dialogue, transparency, participation, and collaboration.
The activity provided an avenue to hear and understand the development updates, accomplishments, challenges, and priorities of the Local Government Unit of Maramag, as well as the legislative agenda of the Sangguniang Bayan.
More importantly, DAGYAW opened the floor for CSO and citizen participation, followed by an engaging Open Forum/Town Hall Dialogue where voices from different sectors were heard, issues were raised, ideas were exchanged, and possible actions were identified.
From the opening prayer and preliminaries, to the presentations, open forum, summary of issues and proposed actions, and the setting of commitments and next steps, every part of the program reflected the importance of active citizenship and meaningful participation in local governance.
The successful conduct of DAGYAW sa Maramag 2026 is a testament to what can be achieved when government and citizens work together, listen to one another, and share responsibility for the community’s development.
A heartfelt thank you to LGU Maramag headed by Municipal Mayor, Atty. Jose Joel P. Doromal, municipal elected officials department heads and employees, civil society organizations, facilitators, volunteers, technical and logistics teams, resource speakers, moderators, participants, and everyone who contributed to making this gathering meaningful and successful.
And most especially, thank you to the people of Maramag for actively participating, sharing your insights, raising important concerns, and engaging in the conversation.
DAGYAW is not simply a town hall meeting, it is a continuing commitment to listen, participate, collaborate, and act together.
From dialogue to action.
From participation to partnership.
From united citizens to good governance and sustainable development.
Daghang salamat, Bayan ng Maramag! Padayon sa pagtinabangay para sa mas lig-on, mas maayong, ug mas malungtarong komunidad!
