𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐌𝐔 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬!

The Central Mindanao University (CMU) Office of the Library Services is proud to announce that the five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Central Mindanao University (CMU) and National Chi Nan University (NCNU), Taiwan, officially took effect in May 2026.

This landmark five-year partnership places a strong emphasis on library collaboration, marking a significant milestone as the CMU Library establishes its first international linkage. Through this agreement, both institutions are committed to strengthening academic cooperation by fostering the exchange of knowledge, digital resources, library best practices, and professional expertise for the benefit of their respective university communities.

This remarkable partnership was made possible through the initiative and dedicated efforts of Prof. Erwin P. Ambasa, Dr. Cecilia O. Bucayong, Dr. Daryl Jane A. Caballero, and Atty. James M. Violon, who represented Central Mindanao University during the Memorandum of Understanding signing at National Chi Nan University in Taiwan. Their commitment has paved the way for expanded international collaboration, academic exchange, and meaningful institutional partnerships.

As an initial step in this collaboration, the CMU Office of the Library Services is excited to begin planning initiatives with National Chi Nan University to facilitate the exchange of information, digital resources, and library best practices that will further enhance the services provided to the CMU community. This partnership also directly supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, by promoting inclusive and equitable access to quality learning resources, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by strengthening international cooperation and fostering sustainable institutional partnerships.

As we embark on this exciting five-year journey of international library collaboration, we look forward to sharing more milestones and initiatives that will enrich learning, research, innovation, and global engagement within the CMU community.

Together, we continue to expand knowledge beyond borders.

CMU, TCC forge partnership for BLIS student internship program

The Office of the Library Services of Central Mindanao University (CMU) formalized its partnership with Tagoloan Community College (TCC) through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the On-the-Job Training (OJT) Program of the Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) students. The ceremony was held on July 30, 2026, at the CMU E-Library.
