This day, February 20, 2026, the MAFAR Municipal Office – Saguiaran was present during the tilapia harvest of the Kayrandaya Agro and Aqua Farm
Association Inc. under the leadership of Mohammad G. Amaikurut.

The Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAG) was also present during the activity. The association successfully harvested a total of 976 kilograms of tilapia at its farm located in Barangay Bubong, Saguiaran, Lanao del Sur.

The office had already provided interventions such as nets, feeds, and other support to strengthen and assist the association. The MAFAR Municipal Office – Saguiaran will continue to extend its full support to the said association.

Furthermore, the association was identified as a target partner for the establishment of a DEMO farm for aquaculture in the area.

During the harvesting activity, the association also offered fresh tilapia at a farm-gate price of ₱170 per kilogram.

TODAY, February 13, 2026, the MAFAR Municipal Office of Saguiaran conducts a benchmarking visit to Lake Sebu. The purpose of the visit is to observe and learn from their aquaculture practices, particularly their management approaches and production techniques.

During the activity, the team carefully observes how aquaculture operations are carried out and documents practical strategies that may be adapted to strengthen aquaculture programs in the Municipality of Saguiaran.

The practices and insights gained from this visit will be shared with our fisherfolks in Saguiaran to help improve their farming methods and productivity. We sincerely express our gratitude to Mr. Mohammad G. Amaikurut, one of the fishpond operators in Saguiaran, for warmly welcoming and assisting our team. His cooperation and willingness to share his experience greatly contribute to the success of this activity.

February 10, 2026 – The MAFAR Municipal Office of Saguiaran conducted a hands-on learning activity for immersion students from Sultan Angin Memorial National High School, focusing on the proper measurement of fishpond areas using manual methods with meter sticks.

The measurement activity was conducted at the fishpond of Mr. Mohammad G. Amaikurut, one of our local fishpond owners. We are sincerely thankful for allowing us to conduct this activity on his farm.

The session was facilitated by Fayka M. Mangontawar, Aquaculturist I of MAFAR Saguiaran, who guided the students through correct measurement procedures and practical field application, helping them gain essential skills in fishpond area estimation

Sa pagtatapos ng ating mga benepesyaryong 4ps ng Saguiaran,
ang MSSD ay nagbigay pugay sa kanila para sa matagumpay na Pamilyang Bangsamoro. Dumalo ang iba't ibang line Agency ng Gobyerno sa nasabing programa para bigyan sila ng commitment na nandito pa rin ang gobyerno para mabigyan sila ng supporta.

Mahigit 70 benepesyarong 4ps sa Saguiaran ang nabigyan ng fertilizers na Gelmax at Orinano kasabay sa kanilang graduation.

Hindi porket naka graduate na kau sa 4ps ay wala nang p**i alam sa inyo ang Gobyerno - MBHTE Principal Fairosa

Lahat po ng iba't ibang ahensya ng gobyerno ay patuloy na tutulong sa inyo para walang magutom na pamilyang bangsamoro. Sa opisina po ng MAFAR headed by Provincial Director Atty. Khalid D. Ansano ay bukas sa inyo para magbigay ng suporta at serbisyo para mapalawak ang produkto,maparaming kita at ani ng ating mga magsasaka at mapangalagaan ang inyong lupain tungo sa pagpapatawid at maging matagumpay ang kabuhayan ng bawat pamilyang Bangsamoro, pahayag ni Engr. Manalocon-MMO of Saguiaran.

We conducted a crop validation activity with selected farmers from various barangays in Saguiaran, Lanao del Sur to assess the current state of their agricultural production. Through farm visits and direct conversations, we gathered firsthand insights into their experiences during the cropping season.

Some farmers reported good harvests, while others faced low yields due to pests, diseases, unpredictable weather, and limited access to farming inputs like seeds and fertilizers. These issues significantly affected their productivity.

Although we were only able to validate a portion of the farming population, the feedback collected provided valuable information on the common challenges they face. These insights will guide the development of targeted interventions to improve crop performance and support the livelihoods of our farmers.
