𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐫 - As part of its continuing efforts to promote effective, functional, and accountable local governance, the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG) – Lanao del Sur Provincial Field Office is conducting the Onsite Provincial Validation for the Local Governance Functionality Appraisal (LoGFA) across the Municipalities of Lanao del Sur.

The validation is being undertaken by two LoGFA Core Teams, each composed of seven validators, tasked to assess the functionality and verify the reported accomplishments of the participating Local Government Units (LGUs).

The assessment covers seven key elements of functionality: Presence of Government Center with Facilities, Presence of Working Elected and Appointed Officials and Functionaries, Functional Local Special Bodies, Functional Local Legislative Body, Approved Mandated Plans and Budget, Available, Visible and Accessible Basic Services, and Sound Fiscal Management.

On August 19, 2026, Team 1, led by 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑫𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓 𝑪𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑫. 𝑰𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒓 𝑱𝒓., together with Chief Sharifah Serad, Chief Janirah Tago, Atty. Bale Camama, Janina Pangandaman, Johara M. Ibra, and Amin G. Umpar, conducted the onsite validation in the Municipality of Taraka.

The validation was facilitated in coordination with 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒐𝒓 𝑵𝒂𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒃𝒂 𝑮𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒎𝒓𝒂-𝑺𝒖𝒎𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏, MLGOO 𝑱𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒚𝒓𝒂𝒉 𝑴. The ceremony brought together Local Chief Executives, LGU Focal Persons, Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (MLGOOs), and Provincial Field Office personnel to formally recognize municipalities that demonstrated outstanding performance in implementing the Ministry’s programs, projects, and activities. The recognition was based on the results of official assessments and audits conducted by the duly constituted committees, highlighting the awardees’ commitment to good governance, institutional development, and excellence in public service.

The successful conduct of the awarding ceremony was further strengthened by the presence and unwavering support of Lanao del Sur Provincial Governor 𝑫𝒓. 𝑴𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍 "𝑩𝒐𝒎𝒃𝒊𝒕" 𝑨. 𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐆 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐫 | July 29, 2026 — Following the successful turnover of completed infrastructure projects and the groundbreaking ceremony for Barangay Halls in Lanao del Sur, 𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑱𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒂𝒏 𝑺. 𝑩𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒎 paid a visit to the Provincial Office of the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG) Lanao del Sur.

Minister Bayam was warmly welcomed by 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑫𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓 𝑪𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑫. 𝑰𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒓 𝑱𝒓., together with the Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (MLGOOs) and the provincial personnel of MILG Lanao del Sur. His visit provided an opportunity to personally meet the workforce and strengthen camaraderie with the dedicated employees of the provincial office.

During the gathering, Minister Bayam engaged in an open and meaningful dialogue with the MLGOOs, allowing them to raise their personal concerns, questions, and clarifications. Alhamdulillah, the Minister personally addressed each concern with sincerity, providing clear responses and words of encouragement that were greatly appreciated by everyone present.

The Minister also expressed his appreciation for the warm reception extended by the provincial office. He shared that, among the MILG offices he has visited so far, MILG Lanao del Sur is the first provincial office he had the opportunity to personally visit, making the occasion even more meaningful for the employees.

The visit reflected the Ministry's commitment to fostering open communication, strengthening relationships with field personnel, and promoting a responsive and supportive work environment in pursuit of quality public service.
