INDANAN, SULU – The 11th Field Artillery (BULLSEYE) Battalion, Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army, under the leadership of LTC ROGELIO C BAYTEC ART (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, conducted and sponsored a Thanksgiving Mass in celebration of the unit's 3rd Founding Anniversary and in observance of National Heroes Day on 31 August 2026 at the Headquarters of the 11FAB, Camp Bud Datu, Barangay Tagbak, Indanan, Sulu.

The Thanksgiving Mass served as a solemn occasion for the officers, and enlisted personnel of the battalion to offer prayers of gratitude for the unit's accomplishments, seek continued guidance and protection in the fulfillment of its mission, and honor the sacrifices of the nation's heroes whose courage and patriotism continue to inspire the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

The Holy Mass was officiated by REV. FR. GAUDENCIO P. BASADA, QMI, Quasi-Parish Rector of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Jolo, who delivered a meaningful homily emphasizing the values of faith, unity, selfless service, and dedication to duty. He encouraged the troops to remain steadfast in their commitment to peace, security, and nation-building while placing their trust in God amidst the challenges of military service.

The activity highlighted the battalion's unwavering commitment to fostering spiritual resilience, strengthening camaraderie among its personnel, and reaffirming its dedication to serving the Filipino people with honor, professionalism, and excellence. It also emphasized the significance of remembering the nation's heroes while celebrating another milestone in the unit's history.

IN ACTION | 11FAB Concludes OFP and Drone Operations Training

INDANAN, SULU – On 24 August 2026, the 11ᵗʰ Field Artillery Battalion (11FAB), under the leadership of LTC ROGELIO C BAYTEC ART (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, successfully conducted the Closing Ceremony of the Observed Fire Procedure (OFP) Training, cross-trained with Drone Operations Training, at the Headquarters, 11FAB, Camp Bud Datu, Barangay Tagbak, Indanan, Sulu.

The training was designed to enhance the technical competence and operational proficiency of artillery personnel by integrating traditional observed fire procedures with modern drone technology. This initiative strengthened the student’s capability to conduct accurate target acquisition, fire adjustment, battlefield observation, and intelligence gathering, thereby improving the unit's overall operational readiness and mission effectiveness.
The closing ceremony was graced by LTC AJAN S AJIJUL PA (RES), District Engineer of the 1st Sulu District Engineering Office, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

In his message, LTC AJIJUL emphasized the Philippine Army's vital role in preserving peace and security while supporting the government's infrastructure development and nation-building efforts. He highlighted that the military's mission extends beyond territorial defense, highlighting the importance of collaboration among government agencies in fostering sustainable development, strengthening communities, and promoting lasting peace.

LTC AJIJUL also commended the officers and personnel of the 11FAB for their dedication to continuous learning and professional development. He encouraged the students to maximize the knowledge and skills they had acquired and apply them effectively in future operations, particularly in leveraging emerging technologies to enhance mission accomplishment.

IN ACTION | 11FAB Participates in IA-TDO Exercise 2026 in Basilan

BASILAN PROVINCE — On 20 August 2026, the 11th Field Artillery Battalion (11FAB), under the leadership of LTC ROGELIO C BAYTEC ART (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, participated in the Inter-Agency Territorial Defense Operation (IA-TDO) Exercise 2026 conducted in Basilan Province.

As part of the battalion's participation, Bravo Battery, led by 1LT RODEL T CALVADORES (ART) PA, actively took part in the field training exercises, demonstrating its operational capability and readiness in support of the exercise objectives.

The IA-TDO Exercise 2026 brought together key stakeholders from the 1101st Infantry Brigade, 11th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, the Local Government Units (LGUs) of Basilan, and various national government agencies involved in territorial defense operations. The activity emphasized the importance of inter-agency coordination, unity of effort, and timely information sharing in addressing security concerns and enhancing the province's territorial defense posture.

Throughout the exercise, Bravo Battery demonstrated a high level of operational readiness, discipline, interoperability, and professionalism while working alongside military and civilian partner agencies. The training further enhanced the unit's capability to conduct coordinated operations in a joint and inter-agency environment, reinforcing the Philippine Army's commitment to safeguarding the nation's territorial integrity through a Whole-of-Nation Approach.

IN ACTION | 11FAB Joins Inter-Agency Territorial Defense Operation Exercise 2026 in Sulu

Luuk, Sulu – On 19 August 2026, the 11TH Field Artillery (BULLSEYE) Battalion, under the leadership of LTC ROGELIO C BAYTEC ART (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, participated in the Inter-Agency Territorial Defense Operation (IA-TDO) Exercise 2026 conducted in the 2nd District of Sulu. As part of the activity, Charlie Battery, led by 1LT JESSICA B DELA CRUZ (ART) PA, Battery Commander, participated in the field exercise at Ana Boulevard, Brgy Tandu-Bato, Luuk, Sulu, under the supervision of LTC BAYTEC.

The exercise brought together personnel from the 1102nd Infantry Brigade, 11ID, PA, the Local Government Units (LGUs) of the 2nd District of Sulu, and other national government agencies involved in territorial defense operations. The activity emphasized inter-agency coordination, unity of effort, information sharing, and operational interoperability in addressing security concerns and strengthening crisis response capabilities. It also demonstrated the government’s whole-of-nation approach to maintaining peace, security, and public safety.

The participation of 11FAB reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the mission of the 11TH Infantry Division, Philippine Army through close coordination with partner agencies and local government units. Through exercises such as the IA-TDO, the battalion continues to strengthen partnerships, enhance operational readiness, and contribute to a secure, peaceful, and stable Sulu.

INTER-AGENCY TERRITORIAL DEFENSE OPERATION EXERCISE
INDANAN, SULU — 19 August 2026. The Alpha Battery, 11th Field Artillery Battalion, Army Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army, participated in the Inter-Agency Territorial Defense Operation (IA-TDO) Exercise conducted at Brgy. Tubig Dakulah, Indanan, Sulu. The exercise was spearheaded by the 1103th Infantry Brigade, 11th Infantry Division, PA, in coordination with the Local Government Units (LGUs), Non-Government Organizations (NGO), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
The exercise focused on strengthening inter-agency coordination, interoperability, and operational readiness in responding to territorial defense contingencies.

The participation of Alpha Battery demonstrated its capability to support joint and inter-agency operations through responsive and coordinated artillery fires, while reinforcing the collective commitment of participating agencies to maintain peace, security, and stability in Sulu.

IN PHOTOS | 11FAB Conducts Simultaneous Bloodletting Activity in Celebration of National Reservist Week

SULU, Philippines – August 15, 2026 — The 11th Field Artillery Battalion (11FAB), under the leadership of LTC ROGELIO C BAYTEC ART (GSC), PA, actively participated in the simultaneous Bloodletting Activity held at Camp Bud Datu, Brgy Tagbak, Indanan, Sulu, in celebration of National Reservist Week and in preparation for the unit's upcoming 3rd Founding Anniversary.

The activity was successfully conducted through the invaluable support of the Sulu Provincial Hospital, whose medical team carried out the medical screening and blood extraction procedures to ensure the safety of all donors.

The blood donation drive was supported by personnel from the 1st Sulu Ready Reserve Field Artillery Battery, 906th Community Defense Center, RESCOM, Philippine Army, and the Sulu Provincial Police Office, all of whom voluntarily donated blood in support of the life-saving initiative.
The activity highlighted the spirit of volunteerism, camaraderie, and selfless service among the participating organizations while further strengthening the partnership between the 11FAB and its stakeholders. More importantly, it emphasized the unit's commitment to supporting humanitarian efforts that directly benefit the community.

Through this initiative, the unit continues to uphold the Philippine Army's core values of Honor, Patriotism, and Duty, demonstrating that every unit of blood donated has the potential to save lives and bring hope to those in need.

INDANAN, SULU – LTC Rogelio C Baytec ART (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer of 11FAB,AR,PA paid a courtesy call to Hon. Albakil "Thong" D. Jikiri, Municipal Mayor of Indanan, Sulu, at the Municipal Hall as part of the 11ᵗʰ Infantry Division, Philippine Army's continuing efforts to strengthen civil-military relations and enhance collaboration with local government units in promoting peace, security, and development.

During the meeting, both officials discussed the current security situation, peace and order initiatives, and the importance of sustained coordination between the 11ᵗʰ Field Artillery (BULLSEYE) Battalion and the Local Government Unit. LTC Baytec emphasized the importance of the whole-of-nation approach in maintaining peace and security and expressed his appreciation for the Municipal Government's continued support in accomplishing the unit's mission.

Mayor Jikiri welcomed LTC Baytec and expressed the municipality's commitment to strengthening its partnership with the Philippine Army in advancing peace, public safety, and community development. CAMP BUD DATU, Indanan, Sulu – The 11ᵗʰ Field Artillery (Bullseye) Battalion, Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army, led by LTC ROGELIO C BAYTEC ART (GSC) PA, formally opened the Observed Fire Procedures (OFP) Training at Camp Bud Datu in Indanan, Sulu. The training aims to strengthen the battalion’s fire support capabilities through the integration of modern technology, innovative operational techniques, and improved tactical procedures. It also supports the unit’s continuing capability development program designed to enhance interoperability, target acquisition, fire support coordination, and overall operational readiness.

The opening ceremony was attended by LTC JOSE VERGELIO B PABON ART (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer 11IMB, IMCOM, PA, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. In his address, LTC Pabon emphasized the importance of continuous capability development, innovation, and professionalism in preparing soldiers to meet evolving operational challenges. He encouraged participants to maximize the training by developing the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to effectively support mission accomplishment.

The Observed Fire Procedures Training reflects the Philippine Army’s commitment to maintaining a highly capable and mission-ready force, ensuring that artillery personnel remain proficient in delivering effective fire support while contributing to the Army’s mission of protecting the people and securing the nation.

LOOK Ɩ 11FAB Commemorates the 77ᵗʰ International Humanitarian Law (IHL) 2026

INDANAN, SULU – The 11ᵗʰ Field Artillery (Bullseye) Battalion, Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army under the leadership of LTC ROGELIO C BAYTEC ART (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, 11FAB, AR, PA conducted the simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony in commemoration of the 77ᵗʰ International Humanitarian Law (IHL) with the theme: “Pinalakas na Ugnayan at Pagkakaisa sa Pagtulong ng IHL,” held at Camp Bud Datu. Brgy. Tagbak, Indanan, Sulu, on Monday, 03 August 2026.

The activity commenced with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, followed by the solemn invocation led by MSg Jeffrey T Baybayan (Art) PA, Battalion Sergeant Major, and the recitation of the Panunumpa ng Katapatan sa Watawat ng Pilipinas and the Panata sa Bagong Pilipinas.

During the ceremony, CPT ADVERTINI B BINAYAO (ART) PA, Acting Executive Officer, led the AFP Soldier's Pledge of Reaffirmation of Commitment and Support for International Humanitarian Law (IHL), emphasizing the Army's dedication to civilian protection and adherence to international law. Thereafter, LTC BAYTEC, Commanding Officer, delivered the official message of the Commanding General of the Philippine Army, reinforcing the Army's commitment to uphold humanitarian principles in all military operations.
