Marawi Compensation Board A quasi-judicial body that awards monetary compensation to eligible claimants under Rep. Act 11696.

To provide reparation and compensation to the owners whose properties are damaged as a result of the armed conflict. The heirs of those who died and are legally presumed dead are also entitled to compensation.

In adherence to the Marawi Siege Victimโ€™s Compensation Act (RA No. 11696) and Section 10 of the Rules of Procedure governing the Marawi Compensation Board, it is the duty of the Board Secretary to publicly post the Monetary Claims Awards for thirty (30) calendar days in three (3) conspicuous public places.

In this regard, after careful evaluation of the claims applications and documentary requirements submitted, please be advised that the Board En Banc has approved the following claims.
Hence, within Fifteen (15) Calendar Days from the time of this posting, any concerned party may file a Written Opposition with the Board En Banc.

Pursuant to Section 50 of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of RA 11696, as amended, any concerned party may file a Written Opposition to the Board En Banc from the time of filing until 15 days from the posting and publication of the approval of the award for monetary compensation on the following ground:
1. The claim is fraudulent, fictitious, or spurious;
2. The claimant is not eligible under Section 29 of the IRR;
3. The claim is not one of those enumerated under Section 29 of the IRR; or
4. Any other justifiable ground as the Board may deem proper.

Marawi City โ€“ The Marawi Compensation Board joined the observance of the 9th Commemoration of the Marawi Siege through a meaningful program attended by claimants, stakeholders, and representatives from various sectors, reaffirming the governmentโ€™s continuing commitment to the recovery and rehabilitation of Marawi City.

Present during the activity were Board Members Dr. Dalomabi Bula, Atty. Rasmia Lawi, and Engr. Nasser Tabao, together with Chairperson Atty. Moslemen T. Macarambon, Sr., and Executive Director and Board Secretary Atty. Raifa Pamaloy-Hassan.
In his commemorative message, Chairperson Macarambon highlighted the significant initiatives and milestones achieved by the Board in advancing the rehabilitation efforts in Marawi. He emphasized the vital role of the Board in ensuring that affected residents receive just compensation and assistance in accordance with the law.

Board Member Engr. Tabao, meanwhile, underscored the Boardโ€™s steadfast commitment to resolving claims fairly and efficiently, stressing that all actions and decisions of the Board are firmly anchored on existing laws, policies, and due process.
Following the opening program, the awarding of approved compensation claims formally commenced. A total of 207 claimants are expected to receive compensation amounting to โ‚ฑ274,482,325.57. This follows the previous payout activities conducted on May 11, 18, and 19, during which 286 claimants received compensation totaling โ‚ฑ450,950,035.29.

As of April 2026, the Board has already released an accumulated โ‚ฑ4,416,067,502.88 in compensation to 2,609 claimants, marking a significant milestone in the governmentโ€™s continuing efforts to assist victims and property owners affected by the 2017 Marawi conflict.

Further highlighting the Boardโ€™s dedication to expediting the claims process, simultaneous clarificatory hearings were also conducted by the different divisions during the activity to address pending concerns and facilitate the resolution of claims.
