In adherence to the Marawi Siege Victim’s Compensation Act (RA No. 11696) and Section 10 of the Rules of Procedure governing the Marawi Compensation Board, it is the duty of the Board Secretary to publicly post the Monetary Claims Awards for thirty (30) calendar days in three (3) conspicuous public places.

In this regard, after careful evaluation of the claims applications and documentary requirements submitted, please be advised that the Board En Banc has approved the following claims.
Hence, within Fifteen (15) Calendar Days from the time of this posting, any concerned party may file a Written Opposition with the Board En Banc.

Pursuant to Section 50 of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of RA 11696, as amended, any concerned party may file a Written Opposition to the Board En Banc from the time of filing until 15 days from the posting and publication of the approval of the award for monetary compensation on the following ground:
1. The claim is fraudulent, fictitious, or spurious;
2. The claimant is not eligible under Section 29 of the IRR;
3. The claim is not one of those enumerated under Section 29 of the IRR; or
4. Any other justifiable ground as the Board may deem proper.

Consequently, all office operations and regular services at the Marawi Compensation Board (MCB) will be temporarily suspended for the day. Regular operations will resume on Thursday, August 20, 2026.

The Marawi Compensation Board (MCB) has officially endorsed 793 additional claims under the jurisdiction of the National Housing Authority (NHA) on 04 August 2026. This constitutes the third batch of claims transmitted pursuant to Section 5 of Republic Act No. 11696, its amended Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR), and the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the MCB and the NHA.

The continued endorsement of claims reflects the MCB's commitment to ensuring that all eligible applications are processed in accordance with the law. Through the simultaneous processing of claims by the MCB and the NHA, the government strengthens its readiness to facilitate the eventual awarding of compensation and advance the recovery and rebuilding of the Marawi community.

The MCB likewise continues to closely coordinate with all concerned government agencies to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of Republic Act No. 11696 and to address operational requirements necessary for the program's implementation.

The public is further reminded that the batch in which a claim is endorsed or processed does not affect its validity, priority, or substantive evaluation. Every claim undergoes the same legal and technical assessment prescribed by law, and all qualified claimants are accorded equal treatment throughout the compensation process.

The Marawi Compensation Board remains steadfast in fulfilling its mandate and in working with its partner agencies toward the full implementation of the Marawi Siege Victims Compensation Act, in pursuit of justice, healing, and lasting recovery for the people of Marawi.
