September 14,2025|| A CELEBRATION OF PEACE THROUGH SPORTS AND CULTURAL PRESENTATION
Today, Abdulazis Elementary School led by our dynamic school principal Dr. Shahera Balt Lucman celebrates peace through sports and cultural presentation with a theme: โStrengthening Peace through Sports and Cultureโ.
The school grounds were alive with color, music, and the hum of excited voices as students from every grade prepared to take part in this celebration. This event, known for its ability to bring sports and cultures to life, offers students a unique opportunity to celebrate peace. By representing various sports, cultural dance, costumes, and music, students not only learn about different traditions but also foster a deep sense of unity and respect.
One of the most anticipated highlights of the celebration was the cultural dance performances. Each dance, uniquely different from the next, told a story of that rich history and spirit of Meranao Culture. one group of students performed an intricate Meranao dance moving gracefully in synchronization with delicate fans that swayed like waves in the air. Another group, dressed in the vibrant colors of pink, performed a lively dance, stomping to the beat of traditional Dayang-dayang music, as the audience clapped and cheered along.
The sports competitions then officially began with the cheerful yells of the teams, fueling energy and excitement. The students showcased their skills , teamwork, and determination in various games including Sack Race, Maria went to Town, Trip to Jerusalem, Tug of War, Badminton,Volleyball, etc. Students also showcased their talents and creativity in poster making which highlights the advocacy of peace through sports and culture.
The event culminated with the awarding of certificates to participants, recognizing the dedication and effort that made the event successful. In the end, this celebration of peace was more than just an event; it was a celebration of the shared human experience, and a powerful reminder of the importance of unity. Through every step, every game played, every cheer shouted, and every challenge faced, the students of Abdulazis ES proved that culture and sports can truly empower the youth to move forward together with peace and harmony.๐ค
