The City Government of Marawi invites everyone to experience a celebration of Meranaw weaving, craftsmanship, and living cultural heritage at the Marawi Langkit Exhibit 2026.

Featuring the work of local weavers from Marawi City and bringing together designers, brands and creatives, the exhibit creates a space to appreciate the traditions of Meranaw weaving and explore its possibilities in contemporary design.

Marawi Tourism Office congratulates the entire team of the Provincial Tourism Office of Lanao del Sur and the whole festival committee for the successful staging of the Ranaw Street Dance Showdown as part of the 67th Araw ng Lanao del Sur: 1st Pakaradiyaan o Sarimanok Festival 2026.

Bringing together seven contingents from across the province is no small feat. Behind every performance was the dedication, hard work, and countless hours of planning by everyone who made this celebration possible.

Thank you for creating a platform that honors and showcases the beauty of Meranaw culture, inspires our communities, and reminds us of the richness of our shared heritage. May this be the beginning of a tradition that continues to strengthen cultural pride and unity for generations to come.

The City Government of Marawi, through the Marawi Traffic Management Group (MTMG), in coordination with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and other concerned agencies, advises the public of the temporary traffic rerouting to facilitate the activities scheduled within Ground Zero on Thursday, July 30, 2026.

These include the Ranaw Street Dance Showdown, where participating contingents will assemble before proceeding to the Sarimanok Sports Stadium, as well as the COMELEC Stakeholders' Briefing, Voters' Education, and COMELEC-IBP & COMELEC-MBHTE MOA Signing for the 2026 BARMM Parliamentary Elections to be held at the Marawi Convention Center.

THIS WEEK AT THE CITY TOURISM OFFICE

This week, we continued preparations for the Marawi Langkit Exhibit through a consultation meeting with Meranaw weavers.

We also welcomed athletes and visitors who were in the city for the Araw ng Lanao del Sur SportsFest, including basketball and pickleball players who dropped by the Made in Marawi Pasalubong Center.

Throughout the week, we were also glad to receive visitors from different parts of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Thank you to everyone who visited and supported the City Tourism Office this week. We look forward to welcoming you again to Marawi City.
