πPLGU Lanao del Sur Observes 2025 National Day of Youth Volunteerism, Honors Emilio Jacinto
In line with Memorandum Circular No. 2025-116 issued by Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Juanito Victor C. Remulla, the Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur, through its Ranaw Youth Development Office (RYDO) headed by Jamil Faisal Saro Adiong, joined the nationwide observance of the 2025 National Day of Youth Volunteerism, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Filipino revolutionary hero Emilio Jacinto, known as the βUtak ng Katipunan.β
The commemoration was integrated into the regular flag-raising ceremony, where interns of the Ranaw Youth Development Office (RYDO) from the Ibn Siena Integrated School Foundation β Senior High School Department (STEM) led a short presentation highlighting the importance of the occasion.
In their message, the interns emphasized that the gathering was not only for a routine ceremony but also for a meaningful national observance that underscores the vital role of young people in nation-building. They stressed that the National Day of Youth Volunteerism serves as a reminder that the youth are not merely leaders of tomorrow, but active partners todayβdriving service, patriotism, and positive change within their communities.
During the ceremony, the interns shared key information on why the National Day of Youth Volunteerism is celebrated and its significance, particularly in honoring Emilio Jacintoβs ideals of courage, intellect, and selfless service. Trivia and short narratives about Jacintoβs life and contributions to the Philippine Revolution were also presented, enriching participantsβ appreciation of his enduring legacy and inspiring youth involvement in civic action.
Through this activity, the Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur, together with its youth partners, reaffirmed its commitment to empowering young people, nurturing volunteerism, and keeping alive the values embodied by Emilio Jacintoβvalues that continue to guide the Filipino youth in contributing meaningfully to community development and nation-building.
