𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: Proposed Marawi fare matrix sets new transport rates

A proposed Marawi City fare matrix reached a consensus on new fare rates for public transportation during its final meeting on June 29, 2026, subject to the approval of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Marawi.

Under the proposed fare matrix, tricycles operating within the city proper will charge a base fare of ₱15 per passenger and ₱30 for exclusive rides. Students taking exclusive trips will pay ₱25 after the mandatory 20 percent discount.

Within the MSU campus, the proposed fare is ₱20 for regular passengers and ₱15 for students after the mandatory discount.

The committee also agreed to retain the regular RACAL fare at ₱30 and the student fare at ₱25.

The rates were finalized during the committee’s meeting attended by representatives from the local government, transport groups, commuters, and stakeholders, including the MSU Supreme Student Government, which pushed for the implementation of the mandatory 20 percent fare discount for students, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities.

The proposed fare matrix will take effect only upon the enactment of the corresponding city ordinance.

BARANGAY RAYA MADAYA II |APRIL 20,2026
Under the leadership of Mayor Shariff Zain L. Gandamra and the esteemed Vice Mayor Sultan Majul U. Gandamra, the City Health Office (CHO) Headed by Dr. Ali G Dalidig, successfully conducted a house-to-house profiling in our barangay. This initiative aims to strengthen healthcare services and ensure that every household is reached and properly assessed.
Through this activity, children in the community can benefit greatly, as it helps monitor their health status, track their growth and development, and ensure they receive proper nutrition and essential vaccines. It also allows early detection of illnesses, provides timely medical advice to parents, and promotes better hygiene and disease prevention practices.
