Follow this PIDSP guide for immediate post-exposure protection:

🥾 PROTECT: Avoid floodwaters or wear protective boots and gloves if exposure is unavoidable.

💊 PREVENT: Consult a doctor to start post-exposure antibiotics (like Doxycycline) within 24–72 hours.

💧 PURIFY: Protect food from pests and boil drinking water for 10–15 minutes.

⚠️ Prophylaxis reduces risk but isn't 100% guarantee—always monitor for fever or symptoms after exposure.

Food- and Water-Borne Diseases (FWBD)

Maaaring tumaas ang panganib ng food- and water-borne diseases (FWBD) dahil sa mga pagbaha nitong nakaraang mga araw at linggo na maaaring magdulot ng kontaminasyon sa pagkain at inuming tubig.

Tiyakin ang wasto at malinis na paghahanda at pagluluto ng pagkain at siguraduhing malinis ang inuming tubig. Kung hindi sigurado, pakuluan ang tubig o gumamit ng chlorine tablets. Ugaliin ang regular na paghuhugas ng kamay at panatilihing malinis ang bahay at kapaligiran.

Kung nakakaranas ng mga malubhang sintomas gaya ng pagtatae, pagsusuka, at pananakit ng tiyan, 'wag mag-atubiling kumonsulta sa pinakamalapit na health center.

Sa tamang pag-iingat, kaya nating mabawasan ang pagkalat ILIs tulad ng trangkaso.
