Today, the Marawi City Jail under the leadership of ๐’๐‰๐Ž๐Ÿ‘ ๐’๐ข๐ซ๐ก๐š๐ญ๐ญ๐š ๐€ ๐ƒ๐š๐ง๐ ๐œ๐š๐ฅ, ๐Ž๐ˆ๐‚ ๐–๐š๐ซ๐๐ž๐ง in in partnership with the IBP Lanao Del Sur Chapter conducted a legal consultation for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) as part of the ๐๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฐ๐ข๐๐ž ๐’๐ฒ๐ง๐œ๐ก๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ข๐ณ๐ž๐ ๐‰๐š๐ข๐ฅ ๐ƒ๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐€๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ˆ๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐๐š๐ซ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ฌ (๐ˆ๐๐).
Through the initiative of the IBP Lanao Del Sur Chapter, PDL were given the opportunity to personally meet with volunteer lawyers and discuss their respective cases, legal concerns, and circumstances that may affect their eligibility for release. The activity gave PDL an opportunity to voice their concerns, better understand their cases, identify necessary requirements, and receive legal guidance toward case resolution or lawful release.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the IBP Lanao Del Sur Chapter, led by President ๐€๐“๐“๐˜. ๐๐€๐’๐ˆ๐… ๐๐”๐Œ๐„๐ˆ๐‘๐˜ ๐€. ๐๐€๐ƒ๐€๐“๐„ as well as to all the volunteer lawyers who generously shared their time, knowledge, and expertise for the benefit of our PDL.

Your commitment demonstrates that access to justice should extend to everyone, including those within the walls of a correctional facility.
This meaningful endeavor helps ensure that every PDL is heard, every case is properly addressed, and those legally qualified for release are given a fair opportunity to regain their freedom.

Taos-pusong nagpapasalamat ang Marawi City Jail sa Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Marawi sa pagbibigay ng pagkakataon sa aming Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) na maipakita ang kanilang husay, pagkamalikhain, at sipag sa pamamagitan ng mga produktong kanilang ginawa sa pagdiriwang ng Marawi City Day.

Sa loob ng apat na araw, umabot sa 298 produktong gawa ng PDLs ang naipakita sa publiko, kung saan 272 ang nabili, katumbas ng 91.3% ng kabuuang mga produktong inilatag. Higit pa sa bilang ng mga produktong naibenta, ang tagumpay na ito ay sumasalamin sa isang mas malalim na layuninโ€”ang patunay na ang rehabilitasyon ay may konkretong bunga at ang bawat indibidwal ay may kakayahang magbago at muling makapagsimula.

Sa pamumuno ni ๐’๐‰๐Ž๐Ÿ‘ ๐’๐ข๐ซ๐ก๐š๐ญ๐ญ๐š ๐€ ๐ƒ๐š๐ง๐ ๐œ๐š๐ฅ, Acting City Jail Warden, patuloy na isinusulong ng Marawi City Jail ang mga programang naglalayong paunlarin ang kakayahan at kasanayan ng aming mga PDLs. Ang bawat produktong kanilang nalikha ay hindi lamang bunga ng kanilang talento at pagsisikap, kundi simbolo rin ng kanilang paghahanda tungo sa isang mas maayos at makabuluhang kinabukasan.

Ang Marawi City Jail ay taos-pusong nagpapasalamat sa City Government of Marawi, sa pangunguna ni ๐‚๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐Œ๐š๐ฒ๐จ๐ซ ๐‡๐จ๐ง. ๐™๐š๐ข๐ง ๐‹ ๐†๐š๐ง๐๐š๐ฆ๐ซ๐š, sa patuloy na suporta at sa pagbubukas ng pagkakataong mailapit sa komunidad ang mga produktong gawa ng aming mga PDLs. Sa pamamagitan ng inyong suporta, naipapakita namin na ang rehabilitasyon ay hindi lamang isang proseso sa loob ng mga pader ng piitan, kundi isang daan tungo sa pagpapanumbalik ng dignidad, pagpapalakas ng kakayahan, at matagumpay na reintegration sa lipunan.

Hindi lamang kami nagbebenta ng mga produktoโ€”ipinapakita namin ang bunga ng rehabilitasyon, ibinabalik ang dignidad, at pinatutunayan na ang ikalawang pagkakataon ay maaaring makalikha ng isang mas makabuluhang kinabukasan.

Ang araw na ito ay pagpapaalala ng tapang at paninindigan ni Senador Benigno โ€œNinoyโ€ Aquino Jr. Ito ay isa sa nagbibigay inspirasyon sa ating tungkulin bilang tagapangalaga ng kalayaan, katarungan, at pagkakaisa.

Sa kanyang mensahe, binigyang-diin ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang ating sama-samang pananagutan sa pagpapatibay ng demokrasya, at hinihikayat din tayo ng Pangulo na pahalagahan ang mga aral ng ating kasaysayan habang patuloy nating pinangangalagaan ang isang mapayapa at maunlad na Bansa.
