EMERGENCY POWER INTERRUPTION.

September 1, 2026
7:00 PM onwards
National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) 69kV Line

Please be informed that we are currently experiencing an EMERGENCY POWER INTERRUPTION affecting the following substations:

1. GMA Substation (SS)
2. Gadongan Substation (SS)

Cause:
Low / unstable voltage supply from the 69kV transmission line of NGCP. Due to low sending voltage, our substations cannot operate at normal capacity, resulting in power interruption/low voltage in its coverage areas.

Affected Areas:
All areas served by GMA SS and Gadongan SS - including parts of Marawi City and nearby municipalities of Lanao del Sur.

Action Taken:
LASURECO has already coordinated with NGCP regarding the low voltage issue. We are closely monitoring the situation and power will be restored to normal once NGCP stabilizes its 69kV line voltage.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused beyond our control and thank you for your patience and understanding.

📍 5 Days, 5 Schools: Lanao del Sur Strengthens School-Based Mental Health Support

The Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur, through the Provincial Health Office (PHO) Mental Health Program, successfully concluded a five-day School-Based Mental Health Seminar focused on “Promoting Emotional Regulation, Stress Management, and Bullying Prevention Among Students.”

With funding support from the Provincial Gender and Development (PGAD) Office, the initiative brought preventive and promotive mental health interventions to students from Adiong National High School, MSU-Lanao National College of Arts and Trades (MSU-LNCAT), Pagayawan National High School, M and S Maito A. Basak National High School, and Butig National High School.

Anchored on the theme “Healthy Minds. Safe Schools. Brighter Futures,” the program aimed to equip learners with practical skills in emotional regulation, stress management, resilience, healthy coping, bullying and peer-pressure prevention, and positive help-seeking.

Students took part in interactive sessions covering understanding emotions, managing strong emotions and impulses through the “Pause–Breathe–Think–Choose–Connect” approach, recognizing triggers and warning signs, and developing safe and healthy coping strategies. Discussions also incorporated faith and cultural values, including Sabr, Rahmah, self-control, and seeking help.

The five-day initiative was strengthened by a multidisciplinary team of resource speakers, including Dr. Rohanie M. Sultan, PhD, RGC; Abdulrahman Amerol, RGC, LPT; Juhanizah M. Dita, LPT, RGC, JD; Dr. Normaleah M. G**o, RGC, RN, LPT; and A’lim Shanolah Rasuman, whose expertise contributed to the program’s guidance, education, mental health, and faith- and culture-responsive components.

The activity also fostered collaboration among the PHO, PGAD Office, MBHTE-BARMM, Mindanao State University, Philippine Guidance and Counseling Association – Marawi City and Lanao del Sur Chapter, participating schools, teachers, coordinators, and other mental health and education partners.

📌PLGU-LdS Holds 2026 Mid-Year Review to Boost Accountability and Vision 2040 Targets

The Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur conducted its Mid-Year Performance Review for the First Semester of Calendar Year 2026 from August 24 to 27, 2026. In line with the Strategic Performance Management System, all department heads and Provincial Governor’s Office division chiefs gathered to uphold institutional accountability, transparency, and results-based governance. Vice Governor Mohammad Khalid “Mujam” Raki-in Adiong and Provincial Administrator Khairan Alonto spearheaded the rigorous deliberation and assessment process, ensuring each office met its administrative benchmarks. Joining them on the panel of reviewers were Provincial Accountant Norhana Lininding-Sumandar, Provincial Planning And Development Officer Engr. Subaida Mala, Provincial Budget Officer Jamaiah Mipanga Adiong-Tocalo, Provincial Human Resource Management Officer Azrifa Mamutuk-Alonto, and Ms. Hayanisah Lucman of the Provincial Administration Office.

The four-day review focused on evaluating office outputs from the first half of the year, assessing progress toward the PLGU Lanao del Sur Vision 2040, and hosting the presentation of the fiscal year 2027 budget proposal for each office. Participants thoroughly examined the implementation of provincial Programs, Projects, and Activities to identify strengths, resolve operational gaps, and address pressing issues causing project delays. To ensure full target completion before the end of the fiscal year, officials actively developed targeted catch-up plans for all remaining initiatives.

To maintain strict data integrity, the review panels anchored all evaluations on verified administrative baselines. Executive assessments relied directly on official Department Performance Commitment Reviews, comprehensive visual presentations of office accomplishments, and validated Monthly Accomplishment Reports previously submitted to the Provincial Planning and Development Office.
