LOOK: Surigao del Sur’s elected officials continue to champion education through legislative and infrastructure support for North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU). House Bill will be re-filed in Congress to establish a regular campus in Bislig City, reinforcing higher education accessibility. Similarly, efforts to enhance academic opportunities extend to NEMSU Hinatuan and Marihatag that will soon become part of the NEMSU System initiated by the Hon. Jhonny T. Pimentel.

Infrastructure development is also in full swing, with the scheduled groundbreaking of the Overpass Pedestrian at NEMSU Tandag, ensuring safer mobility for students and faculty. Meanwhile, the launching of road networks and water facilities at NEMSU San Miguel marks a significant step toward improving campus accessibility and sustainability through the office of Hon. Romeo S. Momo.

Further academic advancements include proposed incentives for Latin Honors graduates and augmented support for the College of Medicine. These initiatives reflect the commitment of local leaders to fostering educational excellence and healthcare development in the province.
