NHS RISES: LEADERSHIP, RESPONSE, AND RESILIENCE AMID THE FLOODING

In the aftermath of the recent flooding brought about by the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), Nangka High School received a visit today from top officials of the Schools Division Office - Marikina City (SDO Marikina) and disaster risk reduction officials who personally assessed the situation and extended their support to the school community.
The school was honored by the presence of CID Chief Mr. Joseph T. Santos, SGOD Chief Mr. Elizalde Q. Cena, Mr. Garvie Medina, Head of DRRM, Ms. Aiza Bernardo, NHS-SDRRM Coordinator, and Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Alejandro G. Ibaรฑez, CESO V.
They were warmly welcomed by our ever-present and hardworking school principal, Mr. Hadji M. Tejada, whose steadfast leadership continues to guide the NHS community through challenging circumstances.
The visit served as a powerful reminder that disaster preparedness is not merely about responding to emergencies, it is about building a school community that is ready, united, and resilient.
As the NHS campus recovers from the effects of the flooding, the presence of our education and DRRM leaders brought not only assessment and guidance, but also a renewed sense of solidarity. Their visit reflects the commitment of our education leaders to ensuring that schools remain safe, responsive, and prepared for whatever challenges may come.
From the school grounds to the leadership offices, the spirit of bayanihan remains alive at NHS. Teachers, personnel, learners, school leaders, and DRRM advocates continue to work together to restore our learning environment and protect the welfare of every NHSian.
