π—œπ—‘ 𝗣𝗛𝗒𝗧𝗒𝗦 | The Coast Guard Station Masbate (CGS Masbate), under the leadership of Station Commander LT JOHN LOUIS S SIBAYAN PCG, continues its 10-day lecture series for criminology interns from OsmeΓ±a Colleges on June 03, 2026 as part of their on-the-job training and professional development exposure.

SN2 Zandro D Rodrigo PCG, Detached Service (DS) from Special Operations Group Bicol (SOG-BCL), and SN2 Jonard D Gallego PCG, member of the Special Operations Unit (SOU) Masbate, conducted a lecture on Gun Safety. The discussion focused on the fundamental principles of responsible firearm handling, emphasizing proper safety procedures, muzzle awareness, trigger discipline, and the importance of adhering to established protocols to prevent accidents and promote accountability in law enforcement operations.

This was followed by a lecture from PO3 Ian Christopher D Enguerra PCG, member of the CGK9 Unit Masbate, on the Mission, Vision, and Functions of the Coast Guard K9 Unit (CGK9). He highlighted the unit’s vital role in supporting maritime security, law enforcement, search and rescue, and detection operations. The interns gained valuable insights into the capabilities of K9 teams, the rigorous training they undergo, and their significant contribution to enhancing the effectiveness of Coast Guard operations and public safety.

The activity further reflects the Philippine Coast Guard’s unwavering commitment to developing competent, disciplined, and service-oriented future professionals by providing meaningful learning opportunities and fostering excellence, integrity, and public service among the next generation of law enforcement practitioners.

π—œπ—‘ 𝗣𝗛𝗒𝗧𝗒𝗦 | The Coast Guard Station Masbate (CGS Masbate), under the leadership of Station Commander LT JOHN LOUIS S SIBAYAN PCG, actively participated in Brigada Eskwela 2026 on 03 June 2026 at Dacu Integrated School, Barangay Dacu, Mobo, Masbate.

Personnel of CGS Masbate, together with its Sub-Stations, Mobile Teams, and Operational Control (OPCON) Units, joined the nationwide school preparation initiative aimed at ensuring that educational facilities are safe, clean, and conducive to learning in anticipation of the opening of classes for School Year 2026–2027.

As part of the activity, Coast Guard personnel rendered voluntary services through various clean-up and maintenance efforts within the school premises. These included the cleaning of classrooms and surrounding areas, clearing of debris and overgrown vegetation, and assistance in minor repair and maintenance works to help improve the overall condition of the learning environment.

The activity underscored the values of volunteerism, bayanihan, and community participation while demonstrating the Coast Guard’s unwavering support for initiatives that contribute to the welfare and development of Filipino learners.

Through its participation in Brigada Eskwela 2026, CGS Masbate reaffirms its commitment not only to maritime safety and security but also to nation-building efforts that promote community development and educational advancement.

As part of the activity, SN2 Justine B Regalado PCG, member of the Special Operations Unit (SOU) Masbate, and SN2 Zandro D Rodrigo PCG, Detached Service (DS) from Special Operations Group Bicol (SOG-BCL) conducted a comprehensive lecture on Water Safety. The discussion emphasized the importance of understanding water-related hazards, practicing safe behavior in and around bodies of water, and observing proper safety measures during maritime and recreational activities. The interns were introduced to basic water survival techniques, the proper use of life-saving equipment, and emergency response procedures that can help prevent accidents and reduce the risk of drowning.

SOU Masbate also highlighted the vital role of the Philippine Coast Guard in promoting water safety awareness, conducting search and rescue operations, and protecting lives at sea. Through practical examples and real-life experiences, the lecture enhanced the interns’ appreciation of maritime safety and equipped them with valuable knowledge that can be applied in their future careers in law enforcement and public safety.

The continuing lecture series aims to provide the criminology interns with a deeper understanding of the various functions and responsibilities of the Philippine Coast Guard while developing their skills, discipline, and professionalism as future public servants.

CGS Masbate personnel, together with its Sub-Stations and Operational Control (OPCON) Units, joined the nationwide school maintenance initiative by rendering voluntary services aimed at preparing the school facilities for the opening of classes. The personnel assisted in various activities such as cleaning school grounds, clearing debris, collecting and disposing of waste materials, and helping improve the overall condition of classrooms and other school facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment for students and teachers.

The activity reflects the Philippine Coast Guard’s commitment to community service and nation-building by supporting programs that promote quality education and public welfare.
