In Resolution No. 164-2025, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan officially declared the entire province under a state of calamity "due to the severe impact of Typhoon ," citing situational reports from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) and local disaster councils.
“The number of affected families is 16,302 and 57,113 individuals in the Province of Masbate continues to rise,” the reports noted.
With the declaration, the provincial government said it can aid in relief, rehabilitation, and recovery operations, release and use calamity funds, and enforce a price freeze on basic goods. The measure also opens access to no-interest loans for residents trying to rebuild their lives.
