HIMORASAK FESTIVAL 2026 INCIDENT MANAGEMENT TEAM — CHECKING OUT!

From the planning stage, operational period briefings, actual event operations, to the final debriefing, the Himorasak Festival 2026 Incident Management Team (IMT) stood ready to ensure that public safety, security, and effective incident management remained a priority throughout the celebration.

From the Abre Grande up to the Festival Culmination Activity, the IMT was there - coordinating, monitoring, responding, and making sure that matters affecting the safety and security of the public were properly managed.

This successful event proved that when there is a good system, clear roles and responsibilities, proper coordination, and strong cooperation among LGU offices, partner agencies, and responders, events can be conducted safely, smoothly, and soundly.

More importantly, it showed that the LGU's investment in capacity-building, training, and developing the skills of its personnel is an investment that truly pays off when put into action.

A successful festival is not only measured by the celebration itself, but also by how well we keep our people safe, secure, and protected.

Push for Magna Carta for DRRM workers!

ON THIS DAY: 5 BULACAN RESCUERS PERISH DUE TO KARDING

On Sept. 26, 2022, Super Typhoon Karding claimed the lives of 12 individuals.

Five of them were rescuers from the Bulacan PDRRMO conducting search-and-rescue operations during Typhoon Karding’s onslaught in Bulacan.

All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.

MDRRMO Matag-ob Completes PHIVOLCS REDAS Modules 1–3 Training

The MDRRMO Matag-ob successfully completed the REDAS Modules 1–3 Training conducted by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) in Camiguin from September 21–25, 2026,
themed “Mainstreaming Disaster Risk Reduction into Local Development, Contingency Planning, and Emergency Preparedness through the Use of REDAS Software.”

MDRRMO Matag-ob was honored to be invited as a guest participant in this training.

The knowledge gained will support Matag-ob’s plan to integrate REDAS into its Municipal Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for near-real-time earthquake information, rapid assessment, and improved emergency decision-making. This will further strengthen the municipality’s earthquake preparedness and risk-informed DRRM planning.

Daghang salamat to PHIVOLCS and the Provincial Government of Camiguin for the opportunity, hospitality, and valuable knowledge-sharing. We bring these learnings home to further strengthen a safer and more resilient Matag-ob.🇵🇭🌋

📍 For Tonight’s Visitors, Guests & Audience
As we prepare for tonight’s Ginoo at Ginang Himorasak 2026, everyone is advised to observe the designated parking areas to ensure safe, orderly, and efficient traffic and crowd movement around the event area.

🕔 CLEARING & PARKING MANAGEMENT STARTS AT 5:00 PM

Clearing operations will begin at 5:00 PM to prepare and establish the designated parking areas. Motorists are advised to move vehicles from areas that will be cleared and follow the instructions of parking marshals and personnel on site.

🏍️ DESIGNATED MOTORCYCLE PARKING AREAS

1. Beside the Market Meat Section — the area between the Market Building and the Terminal

2. Beside the Terminal Building, along the road before the ICP

3. Bajaj motorcycle ( tricycle ) may park inside the terminal.

🚗 DESIGNATED CAR PARKING AREAS

1. From the corner after the Waiting Shed up to the Talisay Tree

2. Beside the Market Meat Section, across Habhab Park

👮 PARKING MARSHALS & PNP ASSISTANCE
Parking aids/marshals will be deployed to guide motorists, manage parking assignments, and maintain proper traffic flow.

PNP personnel will also assist in parking and traffic management and may issue parking tickets to vehicles that fail to follow designated parking assignments, obstruct access routes, or park in restricted areas.

We encourage everyone to arrive early, follow the designated parking areas, and comply with the instructions of parking marshals and PNP personnel.

Moderate to Heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over (SanFrancisco, Poro, Tudela, Pilar), (Tabango, Villaba, MatagOb, Palompon, Isabel, Merida), (Makato, Numancia, Lezo, Kalibo, NewWashington, Banga), (Jamindan, Tapaz), (Bugasong, Valderrama, SanRemigio), (Lambunao, Guimbal, Igbaras, Miagao and SanJoaquin) within the next 30 minutes to an hour.

The above conditions are being experienced in (Pandan, Sebaste, Culasi, Tibiao, Barbaza, LauaAn), (Ibajay, Tangalan, Malinao, Madalag, Libacao, Balete, Batan and Altavas) which may persist within 1 to 2 hours and may affect nearby areas.

All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides. Keep monitoring for updates.
