The Deliberation of Entries for 2026 Provincial Kabuhayan Awards – Group Category was held on March 3 at Sutuwaki Restaurant.

Among the three entries from the DOLE West Leyte Field Office was the Bonoy Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (BOFACO), assisted by the Municipal PESO of Matag-ob under Manager Mrs. Relyn L. Tabayag. Their Egg Layering Enterprise, supported through DOLE’s livelihood grant, demonstrates the cooperative’s commitment to sustainable agricultural productivity.

The cooperative may not have won this year, but the experience inspires them to strive further. This achievement reflects not only the determination of BOFACO but also the continuous efforts of the LGU officials of Matag-ob, who actively support and empower local cooperatives and associations to grow their livelihood programs.
