Matalom, Leyte – September 03, 2026 – In connection with the memorandum regarding the Participation and Support to the Nationwide Simultaneous School Safety Drills for Active Attack Incidents, personnel of Matalom Fire Station under the leadership of FINSP CARFILO G JABALLA, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, together with the PNP Matalom led by PLT MAVERICK ALLAN C. CANLAS, Officer-in-Charge, and the MDRRMO led by Engr. Rudel Escolano, successfully conducted the said drill at Matalom National High School.

The activity was participated in by the school administrators, teachers, non-teaching personnel, and learners of Matalom National High School, together with the emergency response teams from the Matalom Fire Station, PNP Matalom, and MDRRMO.

The drill aims to educate school personnel and learners on the proper actions and safety measures to undertake during an active attack incident. It also promotes preparedness, awareness, and effective coordination among school stakeholders and emergency response agencies to ensure the safety and protection of everyone within the school community.

Matalom, Leyte – September 01, 2026 – Personnel of this Station under the leadership of the Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, FINSP CARFILO G JABALLA, conducted a refresher course on firefighting to enhance the knowledge, skills, and preparedness of firefighters in responding to fire emergencies.
