Warm congratulations marked the opening of the 34th Regular Session of the 8th City Council on August 25, 2026 at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Session Hall of the City of Mati.

The Council unanimously approved a resolution recognizing and commending Mr. Johnvic C. Rubillar for his exemplary achievement in winning the Gold Medal in the Philippine Eskrima-Kali-Arnis Federation (PEKAF) National Tournament 2026 Battle of the Champions held at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Malate, Manila on August 8-9, 2026, bringing immense honor and pride to the City of Mati.

During its 34th Regular Session held at the Session Hall of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Mati on August 25, 2026, the 8th City Council passed a resolution commending the Balangay City High Performing Arts Guild of the City of Mati National High School for its exemplary contribution to the city’s notable accomplishments in the field of arts.

The recognition came following the team’s remarkable performance at Indak-Indak sa Kadayawan 2026, where it emerged victorious in three major categories: Best in Artistic Design/Costume, Best in Choreography/Choreographer, and Best in Street Dance.

With this achievement, the Balangay City High Performing Arts Guild was hailed as the 3-Peat Grand Slam Champion of Indak-Indak sa Kadayawan 2026, securing the coveted title for three consecutive years from 2024 to 2026.
Mrs. Jovelyn L. Barba, the school Principal, together with Mr. Jayson Q. Alas, Art Director and Choreographer, along with the guild’s creative team personally attended the session and gratefully accepted the commendation on behalf of the school and the rest of the performers.

Nakatala og 36 ka bag-ong kaso sa dengue ang City Health Office (CHO) gikan Agosto 16 hangtod 22, 2026, subay sa ilang padayon nga pag-monitor ug pag-subay sa Dakbayan sa Mati. Tungod niini, nanawagan ang People’s Administration sa tanang residente nga magpabilin nga alerto ug mag-amping.

Sa kasamtangan, miabot na sa 323 ang katibuk-ang kaso sa dengue sa syudad,diin 280 na ang hingpit nga naayo samtang 3 ang natala nga namatay.

Adunay natalang clustering o pagpundok sa mga kaso ang pipila ka purok sa Barangay Central, Matiao, Dahican, Tamisan, ug Sainz. Aduna usab natalang mga kaso sa Barangay DMM, DSL, Lawigan, Macambol, ug Badas.

Aron mapanalipdan ang matag panimalay, gidasig sa lokal nga panggamhanan ang kanunay nga paglimpyo sa palibot aron walay maitlogan ang mga lamok. Nagpahinumdom usab ang CHO nga moadto dayon sa pinakaduol nga health facility kung makasinati og duha hangtod tulo ka adlaw nga kalintura.
