Davao Oriental youth leaders have firmed up preparations for the upcoming โLinggo ng Kabataanโ culmination, following a productive coordination meeting held today, August 20, 2025, at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) Session Hall. The province-wide culmination activity, set on August 29, 2025, will champion a lineup of services and activities under the Oryental DabawenYouth banner.
Jam-packed with youth-centered activities and government services, these joint efforts are set to bring government initiatives closer to young people through the โTrabaho Oryental DabawenYouth: Job Fair 2025,โ the โEntreprenuerYoung Bazaar,โ the โKabataan Run,โ the โOryental DabawenYouth Grand Caravan,โ the โSangguniang Kabataan Fellowship Night,โ and the โState of the Youth Address.โ These initiatives are designed to highlight the dynamism and diversity of Davao Orientalโs youth while elevating the provinceโs culminating celebration of youth empowerment and participation.
During the meeting, the newly designated Provincial Youth Development Officer, Restie N. Aguilon, outlined the provincial governmentโs comprehensive set of programs and initiatives for the youth sector. Aligned with Governor Nelson Dayanghirangโs 10-point agenda, the โKanato Ini Youth Development Programโ seeks to cascade essential government services to the grassroots, anchored on capacity-building, skills development, and youth empowerment, particularly among young people in Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs) and other vulnerable youth sectors such as PWDs, OSYs, LGBTQIA+ community, among others.
Board Member Shanine C. Lintogonan also extended her heartfelt gratitude for Governor Dayanghirangโs continued support to the youth, highlighting the strengthened collaboration among the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO), the Sangguniang Kabataan Provincial Federation, Public Employment Service Office (PESO), Local Youth Development Officers (LYDOs), SK Federated Presidents across Davao Oriental, national agencies, various stakeholders, and volunteers.
Under the leadership of Govenor Nelson Dayanghirang, and with the active engagement of youth leaders, local officials, and partner stakeholders, the preparations have been firmly aligned to ensure a seamless and meaningful culmination, championing government services and bringing opportunities closer to the people of Davao Oriental.
