Together with fellow participants, we successfully completed the Hands-on Orientation of Enumerators on Trade Related Surveillance (TRS) for Mango Pulp Weevil (MPW), Mango Seed Weevil (MSW), and Fruit Fly held on May 6–7, 2026 at the Plant Quarantine Building, Port of Mati, Davao Oriental. The activity strengthened our knowledge and skills in surveillance, monitoring, and data gathering essential in protecting the agriculture sector and supporting safe trade practices.
Beyond learning technical knowledge, the orientation also became an opportunity to build teamwork, collaboration, and shared commitment among participants toward effective plant quarantine and pest management efforts. Through discussions, field exercises, and exchange of experiences, everyone contributed to a productive and meaningful training experience.
