Meaningful progress in education begins with meaningful conversations.

Today, I had the privilege of meeting with Division Education Program Supervisor Dr. Yvette M. Celmar, together with the School Heads of Maputi Elementary School, Ma’am Mahara Compania Du-ot, and Maputi Secondary School, Sir Ronick Jhun M. Leones, to discuss important school matters, including school titling and other initiatives that support the continuous growth and development of our schools.

As Chairperson of the Committee on Education, I firmly believe that strong collaboration between the Local Government Unit and the Department of Education is essential in creating learning environments where every learner can thrive.

My sincere appreciation to Dr. Celmar, Ma’am Mahara , and Sir Ronick for your commitment, partnership, and shared vision of providing quality, inclusive, and learner-centered education for our children.

Together, we continue building stronger schools, empowering our educators, and opening more opportunities for every learner in Banaybanay.

Because every learner matters, every partnership counts, and every step we take today helps build a brighter tomorrow. 💛

The Beauty of Becoming

Usahay, gusto nato nga makita dayon ang resulta sa atong mga paningkamot. We want everything to bloom right away.

Pero ang kinabuhi adunay kaugalingong panahon.

Some seasons are meant for learning. Some are meant for healing. And some are simply meant for becoming.

Sama sa usa ka artist nga hinay-hinay nagapatong ug mga kolor sa usa ka blangkong canvas, ang matag kasinatian nagdugang ug kahulugan, ang matag hagit naghatag ug kalig-on, ug ang matag hilom nga higayon nag-andam kanato alang sa mas matahum nga kaugmaon.

I’ve learned that growth is rarely loud.

Kasagaran, mahitabo kini sa mga adlaw nga daw ordinaryo lang—sa mga hilom nga pag-ampo, sa mga gagmay’ng kadaugan, sa pagpadayon bisan kapoy na, ug sa pagpili gihapon sa kalinaw bisan dili nato kontrolado ang tanan.

So this weekend, don’t pressure yourself to have everything figured out.

Celebrate every small step.

Celebrate every lesson.

Celebrate the person you are slowly becoming.

When God Is Silent, He Is Still Working.

There are seasons when life becomes quiet. We pray, we wait, ug usahay murag wala dayon ang tubag nga atong gipaabot.

Yet silence is not the absence of God’s love. Many of His greatest works begin in places we cannot yet see. While we are waiting, He is preparing. While we are wondering, He is already weaving everything together for our good.

Usahay gusto nato nga dayon ang tubag. Apan ang Ginoo dili lang mutan-aw sa atong karon—tan-awon usab Niya ang panahon nga labing angay para nato. Ang atong delay usahay dili pagkawala sa paglaum, kundili pag-andam alang sa mas dako nga grasya.

Today, choose to trust instead of fear. Choose peace instead of worry. Ug padayon sa paglakaw uban sa pagsalig nga ang matag lakang adunay kahulugan, bisan dili pa nato makita ang tibuok dalan.

There is Something Beautiful About Slowing Down

Usahay, kinahanglan lang gyud ta muhunong kadali… muginhawa ug lawom… ug mahinumduman nga dili tanan kinahanglan dali-dalion.

This week may have brought you victories worth celebrating or lessons that quietly strengthened your heart. Bisan unsa pa ang imong naagian, I hope you take a moment to appreciate how far you’ve already come.

I’ve realized that some of life’s greatest blessings don’t come with loud announcements. They arrive quietly—through meaningful conversations, genuine smiles, unexpected kindness, peaceful moments, ug mga tawong nagpabilin dili tungod kay kinahanglan, kundili tungod kay tinuod ang ilang pag-atiman.

As we welcome the weekend, ato sa’ng buhian ang mga kabalaka nga dili nato kontrolado ug atong kuptan ang mga butang nga naghatag ug kalinaw sa atong kasingkasing.

May we choose rest without guilt, joy without comparison, ug gratitude without conditions.
