𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐄 𝐗𝐈 𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐒 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐃𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐑

The Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office XI (DOLE XI) proudly welcomes its new Regional Director, Atty. Dax B. Villaruel, effective July 3, 2026.

Prior to his appointment, RD Villaruel served as Regional Director of DOLE Regional Office VIII (Eastern Visayas) since 2024. A dedicated public servant with more than 20 years of experience in the Department, he has held various key positions, including Attorney II, Mediator-Arbiter, and Assistant Regional Director in DOLE Regional Office VI (Western Visayas).

As he begins his new role in the Davao Region, DOLE XI looks forward to RD Villaruel’s leadership and expertise in further strengthening the Department’s commitment to delivering quality, responsive, and people-centered public service.

Seventy-one (71) JobStart beneficiaries successfully completed the 10-day Core Skills and Life Skills Training under the JobStart Philippines Program held from June 11–25, 2026, at Davao Oriental International Technology Inc., Madang, City of Mati, Davao Oriental.

Throughout the training, participants strengthened their communication, teamwork, professionalism, problem-solving, and workplace readiness skills which are essential competencies that employers value in today’s workforce.

Equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence gained from the program, these JobStart beneficiaries now stand better prepared to pursue employment opportunities and make meaningful contributions to their respective workplaces and communities.

Ngayong World Day Against Child Labor 2026, muling pinagtitibay ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), katuwang ang National Council Against Child Labor (NCACL), ang panawagang wakasan ang child labor sa bansa.

Sa temang “Ikaw, Ako, Tayo: Sama-samang Pagkilos para sa Batang Malaya,” hinihikayat natin ang bawat Pilipino na makiisa sa pagprotekta sa karapatan ng mga bata sa isang ligtas, malaya, at maunlad na kinabukasan.
