The Local Government Unit of Matungao (Progresibong Matungao), under the leadership of Mayor Jaber M. Azis, M.D. with Designated PESO Manager Henry C. || The Local Government Unit of Matungao, Lanao Del Norte joins the nation in observing Zero Waste Month this January.

This year's theme is "Integrating Sustainability and Circularity into the Informal Waste Sector." This highlights the crucial role of informal waste workers (like waste pickers, junk shop owners, and recyclers) in creating a more sustainable and circular waste management system in the Philippines.

National Zero Waste Month is observed every January, as established by Presidential Proclamation No. 760, signed on May 5, 2014, by the late President Benigno S. Aquino III.

LOOK 👀| 1.3K Bukidnons get P6M TUPAD pay

A total of 1,372 beneficiaries from the municipalities of Cabanglasan, Impasug-ong, Lantapan, San Fernando and Malaybalay City got PhP 6,009,360 total worth of pay under the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) or emergency employment program in a payout on October 3, 2024 at Barangay 6 Covered Court, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
