Alpha Battery, 2nd Field Artillery Battalion, Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army (2FAB, AR, PA) conducted the Turnover Ceremony for the First Sergeant and Platoon Sergeant at Headquarters Alpha Battery, 2FAB, AR, PA, Sitio Magay, Barangay Don Martin Marundan, Mati City, Davao Oriental. The ceremony was presided over by 1LT ALDRIN M FELIPE (ART) PA, Battery Commander, Alpha Battery, 2FAB, AR, PA, and formally marked the transition of key leadership responsibilities within the unit.

The activity signified the orderly transfer of duties, responsibilities, and accountabilities from the outgoing to the incoming non-commissioned officers, in keeping with established military traditions and procedures. The ceremony underscored the unit’s commitment to strong non-commissioned officer leadership and ensured the continuous and effective ex*****on of the battery’s mission in support of higher headquarters.

𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗛𝗾𝘀 & 𝗛𝗾𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆, 𝟮𝗙𝗔𝗕 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻-𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆.

A Turn-over Ceremony for the First Sergeant of Headquarters and Headquarters Battery (HHB), 2nd Field Artillery Battalion, Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army, was conducted at Headquarters 2FAB, AR, PA on 14 August 2026. The ceremony was presided over by 𝗠𝗔𝗝 𝗝𝗘𝗙𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗬 𝗧. 𝗚𝗘𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗔 (𝗔𝗥𝗧) 𝗣𝗔, Battery Commander, Hqs & Hqs Battery, 2FAB, AR, PA, and attended by officers, enlisted personnel, and key personnel of the unit. The activity formally marked the transfer of duties, responsibilities, and accountability from TSg Roy A. Bortano (Art) PA, Outgoing Battery First Sergeant, to TSg Roel A. Julagting (Art) PA, Incoming Battery First Sergeant, ensuring uninterrupted leadership and effective administration of the battery.

In his guidance, MAJ GERONA emphasized the critical role of the First Sergeant in maintaining discipline, morale, accountability, personnel welfare, and unit readiness. He commended TSg Bortano for his dedicated and faithful service and valuable contributions to HHB, while expressing confidence in TSg Julagting’s capability to assume the responsibilities of the position. The ceremony underscored the importance of leadership continuity, professionalism, teamwork, and strict adherence to military standards in sustaining HHB’s operational effectiveness and mission accomplishment.

𝟐𝐅𝐀𝐁 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭, 𝐏𝐌𝐂𝐒, 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐈&𝐄

LTC CHRISTIAN O AGONOS ART (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, 2nd Field Artillery Battalion (2FAB), Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army, conducted a command visit to the 3rd Howitzer Platoon (3HP), Alpha Battery, and 2nd Howitzer Platoon (2HP), Bravo Battery, co-located at Camp Agaab, Sitio Pulatana, Brgy. Malandag, Malungon, Sarangani Province, to assess their operational readiness, personnel condition, and overall unit preparedness.

The activity included the conduct of Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) by personnel of the Maintenance and Service Battalion to ensure the serviceability and operational readiness of equipment.

During the visit, LTC AGONOS also conducted a Talk to Troops, emphasizing the importance of discipline, professionalism, accountability, and commitment to mission accomplishment. This was complemented by the conduct of Troops Information and Education (TI&E) by MSg Alex B Damaso (Art) PA, Battalion Sergeant Major, for the personnel of 3HP, Alpha Battery; 2HP, Bravo Battery; and 3HP, Charlie Battery, located at Camp Sumabat, Brgy. Poblacion, Makilala, Cotabato.

The TI&E focused on strengthening the troops’ awareness, morale, and adherence to established policies and standards. The activity further reinforced 2FAB’s commitment to maintaining a highly prepared, disciplined, and mission-ready force.

On 11 August 2026, 𝗟𝗧𝗖 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗔𝗡 𝗢 𝗔𝗚𝗢𝗡𝗢𝗦 𝗔𝗥𝗧 (𝗚𝗦𝗖) 𝗣𝗔, Commanding Officer, 2nd Field Artillery Battalion, Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army, together with 1LT JHIDDEE C RALA (ART) PA, conducted a meeting and discussion with the staff of the 1002nd Infantry (Bagwis) Brigade, 10ID, PA, led by 𝗖𝗢𝗟 𝗝𝗘𝗙𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗬 𝗔 𝗩𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗔 𝗠𝗡𝗦𝗔 (𝗜𝗡𝗙) 𝗣𝗔, Deputy Brigade Commander held at Headquarters 1002nd Infantry (Bagwis) Brigade, 10ID, PA, Camp Agaab, Sitio Pulutana, Brgy Malandag, Malungon, Sarangani Province. The engagement focused on strengthening coordination and ensuring the continuous provision of responsive artillery support to the Brigade within its Area of Responsibility.

During the activity, 1LT JHIDDEE C RALA (ART) PA was formally introduced as the Brigade Fire Support Officer (Bde FSO), tasked to facilitate closer coordination and synchronization of fire support requirements between 2FAB and the 1002nd Brigade. The activity reinforced the commitment of 2FAB to maintain timely, reliable, and responsive artillery support in support of the Brigade’s ongoing and future operations.

HATAMA Troopers actively participated in the blood donation activity spearheaded by the 10th Infantry (Agila) Division, PA, with the theme “Dugong Agila Alay sa Pilipino,” held on 11 August 2026 at Headquarters, 10ID, PA. The activity formed part of the various events organized in celebration of the Division’s 20th Founding Anniversary and aimed to promote the spirit of volunteerism, camaraderie, and selfless service among military personnel.

The participation of the HATAMA Troopers demonstrated their commitment to humanitarian service, volunteerism, and support to the Filipino people. Through their blood donation, the personnel contributed to the availability of life-saving blood and strengthened the spirit of solidarity among the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

𝗔𝗚𝗢𝗡𝗢𝗦 𝗔𝗥𝗧 (𝗚𝗦𝗖) 𝗣𝗔, Commanding Officer, 2nd Field Artillery Battalion, Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army, conducted a courtesy call on 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗘𝗟𝗦𝗢𝗡 "𝗕𝗢𝗬" 𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗛𝗜𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗚 at the Provincial Government Office of Davao Oriental on 10 August 2026. The engagement served as an avenue to formally establish rapport and strengthen coordination with the Provincial Government, while providing an opportunity to discuss matters of mutual interest concerning the unit’s operations, stakeholder engagement, and support to peace, security, and development initiatives within the province.

The courtesy call provided an opportunity to strengthen the existing partnership and coordination between 2FAB and the Provincial Government of Davao Oriental. The engagement likewise reaffirmed the unit’s commitment to fostering strong stakeholder relations in support of peace, security, and development in the province.

The activity served to strengthen professional ties and reaffirm the Battalion's commitment to supporting the mission and strategic objectives of the 10th Infantry (AGILA) Division. The 2nd Field Artillery Battalion, Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army successfully conducted the Mental Health Facilitators Training on 03 August 2026 at the Headquarters, 2nd Field Artillery Battalion, Camp General Manuel T. Yan Sr., Brgy. Tuboran, Mawab, Davao de Oro. The training was facilitated by 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗚. 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗰, 𝗥𝗣𝗺, equipping participants with essential knowledge and skills to promote mental health awareness, provide peer support, and strengthen the unit's commitment to the overall well-being and resilience of its personnel.
