Palo, Leyte — June 01, 2026 — Personnel of the Mayorga Fire Station, led by SFO4 Melvin M Raagas, OIC–Municipal Fire Marshal, together with members of the Operations Section and personnel from various fire stations in the 2nd and 3rd Districts, participated in the Cascading of the Push-to-Talk Over Cellular (POC) System held at the Office of the Provincial Fire Marshal, North Leyte. The activity focused on the activation and registration of POC units and included system orientation, hands-on operation, troubleshooting procedures, and other related discussions.

The implementation of the POC system enhances communication efficiency by providing instant voice connectivity, enabling faster coordination, dispatch, and real-time reporting among responders. It also promotes standardized communication procedures across fire stations, further strengthening operational readiness and improving the Bureau’s capability to respond swiftly and effectively during emergencies.
