In line with the directives of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the Municipal Validation Team conducted the Barangay Road Clearing Operations, Barangay Kalinisan Day, and Halina't Magtanim ng Prutas at Gulay (HAPAG) sa Barangay Validation for the 2nd Quarter of CY 2026 on July 23, 2026 to barangays Tindog, Curva, Panugnawan, Dalingding Sur, and Caputatan Norte.

The activity was conducted with the participation of representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and the Local Government Unit (LGU).

The validation assessed the barangay's compliance with the Road Clearing Program, the Barangay Kalinisan Program, and the implementation of the Halina't Magtanim ng Prutas at Gulay (HAPAG) sa Barangay Project.

The Municipal Validation Team expresses its appreciation to the barangay officials, partner agencies, and community stakeholders for their cooperation.

The Municipality of Medellin, in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Association of Barangay Secretaries and Treasurers, successfully conducted the Skills Enhancement Training for Barangay Secretaries and Barangay Treasurers on July 16-17, 2026 in Tuburan, Cebu.

The two-day training aimed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and competencies of barangay secretaries and treasurers in the efficient delivery of public service, strengthen accountability in records management and financial administration, and ensure compliance with government standards in sustaining drug-cleared barangays.

Municipal Mayor Edwin Salimbangon graced the activity. He highlighted that barangay treasurers and barangay secretaries are the backbone of the barangay.

The activity was facilitated by OIC-MLGOO Janieva Dandan.
