Demonstrating strong literacy initiatives and community engagement, the Barangay Cabalabaguan Reading Center drew positive remarks from evaluators during a recent assessment, March 25.

The evaluators recommended the center as a potential benchmarking site for other barangays, citing its effective programs and well-maintained facilities.

The evaluation team was composed of Hon. Ana Lourdes Espiritu, Hon. Luda G. Ahumada, Mr. Ismael Sibag Jr., and Ms. Suzelle Pineda, who commended the center for its well-organized facilities, consistent programs, and evident impact on the communityโ€™s literacy development.

Their assessment highlighted the reading centerโ€™s commitment to fostering a culture of learning, particularly among young learners, through accessible resources and engaging initiatives.

As a result, the Cabalabaguan Reading Center now stands as a model of excellence, setting a standard for other barangays to emulate in promoting education at the grassroots level.

๐”๐๐ƒ๐€๐“๐„ | Game On!

In line with the upcoming celebration of the annual fiesta of Barangay Cabalabaguan, the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Council officially opened the Basketball League 2026 at the Barangay Covered Gym on March 7.

The ceremony was graced by players from the different teams, as well as barangay and SK officials.

โ€œNagalaum ako nga ang ini nga aktibidad indi lamang isa ka kompetisyon kundi mangin isa ka paagi agud nga mas mapasangkad ninyo ang inyo mga abilidad,โ€ said Hon. Eden P. Pasuquin during his welcome remarks.

Following the opening ceremony, the matches began with Game 1 between Team Red and Team Orange, which ended with a score of 92โ€“81, respectively.

This was followed by the match between Team White and Team Yellow, which concluded with a score of 78โ€“67.

For the recently concluded matches on March 8, Team Red secured its second win against Team Yellow, while in the second game, Team Blue emerged victorious over Team Green.

The games will continue next weekend at the Barangay Covered Gym. Stay tuned for more updates and match results.
