On September 1, 2026, at approximately 1:00 oโ€™clock in the morning, personnel of Moalboal Municipal Police Station (MPS), led by ๐๐‹๐“ ๐๐€๐’๐ˆ๐‹ ๐„๐ƒ๐”๐€๐‘๐ƒ๐Ž๐’ ๐€ ๐„๐•๐€๐๐†๐„๐‹๐ˆ๐’๐“๐€, ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฒ ๐‚๐ก๐ข๐ž๐Ÿ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ข๐œ๐ž, under the direct supervision of ๐๐Œ๐€๐‰ ๐Œ๐ˆ๐‹๐„๐’ ๐ ๐ƒ๐€๐Œ๐Ž๐’๐‹๐Ž๐†, ๐Ž๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐ž๐ซ-๐ข๐ง-๐‚๐ก๐š๐ซ๐ ๐ž, in coordination with personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)โ€“Moalboal Detachment, conducted a joint law enforcement operation for the implementation of the above-mentioned Executive Order.

In the course of the operation, a Mitsubishi Fuso Canter truck bearing plate number ZFS269 was stopped at Barangay Tuble, Moalboal, Cebu, and was discovered to contain Sixty (60) heads of live hogs. After reviewing and confirming the necessary documents and permits, the driver, did not provide the required permits for the transport and entry of the mentioned live hogs. The sole document submitted by the driver was a certificate from Barangay Lanao, Moalboal, Cebu, dated August 28, 2026, indicating that a certain individual owned the fifty (50) live hogs. Nonetheless, the aforementioned barangay certification did not fulfill the necessary veterinary, quarantine, or transport permits for the legal movement of live hogs, especially considering the current ban under Executive Order No. 44. It was also observed that the truck was stopped at Barangay Tuble, a coastal barangay in Moalboal, Cebu, even though the certification had come from Barangay Lanao.

The driver and the vehicle in question were taken to Moalboal MPS for appropriate documentation, verification, and handling in collaboration with the relevant government agencies. The sixty (60) live hogs were arranged for proper handling after receiving approval from DA Moalboal.

On September 02, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, personnel of the Moalboal Municipal Police Station, under the direct supervision of PMAJ MILES B DAMOSLOG, Chief of Police (OIC) of Moalboal MPS, conducted PNP Accordion Checkpoint Operation at Barangay Tunga, Moalboal, Cebu, as part of the Philippine National Police's intensified security campaign.

The operation focused on deterring criminal activities, increasing police visibility, inspecting suspicious vehicles, and preventing the transport of illegal fi****ms, prohibited drugs, and other contraband, while ensuring that all inspections were conducted lawfully and with respect for motorists' rights.
Through sustained checkpoint operations and strengthened community cooperation, the Moalboal Municipal Police Station remains steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding the community, preventing crime, and maintaining peace and order for all.
